Beautiful 2040 sq ft house located on the Brazos River near Glen Rose. Fully furnished with comfortable beds and great kitchen. Very secluded location. The county road ends at our driveway. Very quiet. About the only 'human noise' you will hear is an occastional airplane flying over. Lots of wildlife to observe. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, this is it. Great place for fishing, hiking or just relaxing. Located less than an hour away from the D/FW metroplex. A short drive to Dinosaur Park and many other attractions in the area.

Ladies River Retreat
We were comfortable at this beautiful property for the weekend. Enjoyed access to the river, and visited Glen Rose for some shopping and dining out.

This was a gorgeous property with lots to explore. There is plenty to keep kids exploring including a tire swing. We were also impressed with the cleanliness of the house.

Just what we needed
The property was quiet, safe, clean, and peaceful. The house was well cared for, no bugs or mess inside. The kids LOVED the tire swing. If we ever make our way back to Glenrose, we will definitely stay at this house again.

Inaccurate Listing
We purposely chose this listing over others because it claimed to be private land and that you'd hear no human noise. On the contrary there were whole groups of people walking acrossthe yard and even their cars driving through our backyard to get to the river in the back. Was not private or relaxing at all ruined our stay and would not return again.

Great end of summer 3 day trip
Short trip to spend time with the family before our grandgal starts school and daughter in law gets back to teaching. Great location and the river right behind the house is a bonus. We saw deer down by the river from back window saturday morning. Fosiil rim wildlife center and dinosaur valley state park are less than 30 minutes away. Any restaurants, stores and shops needed or desired are even closer. Beautiful country drive to home where we found everything was clean and well stocked. We cooked some big meals at the house and had every pot, pan or dish we needed. Hope to go back when it cools off this fall.

Peaceful spot in the country
We really enjoyed our time at this property, played in the water and had a fire under the stars with s'mores. The house was very clean and well stocked, beds were comfortable and it really wasn't far from the attractions for being way more affordable than some other options nearby.

Amazingly beautiful!!
I cant put into words how beautiful this property is. Everything down to the last detail was taken car of. It was spotless and the scenery was just spectacular. The house had everything stocked up! We had accidentally forgot coffee and much to our surprise as we walked in we see everything nicely placed. The river ran smoothly and there were deers everywhere just so much we saw that i cant fit it all. My family was so greatful that we got to experience this. We will definitely be back very soon. If you think this place is beautiful in pictures you will be shocked at how much more it is in person! One more thing the owners are the sweetest people ever they responded very quickly and were very kind!! I 100% recommend staying more then just a weekend as that is no were near enough time to explore everything this place has to offer !!!

This was a great location for our weekend trip to Dinosaur Valley State Park with our daughter & grandchildren. The kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep. House was very clean and beds very comfortable. Kids really enjoyed walking down to the river & exploring.

Beautiful Riverfront Home
We saw deer, armadillos, turkeys and caught a couple of bass. The kitchen was well appointed, beds were comfortable and just overall well maintained property. A beautiful property perfect for my mother’s 75 birthday. We sat out under a tree and just enjoyed nature. David was a prompt host, answer any of our questions.

Beyond great!
Three generations, 5 adults, 3 kids. All had a great time at this amazing, beautiful house. Even better than advertised. Grandkids got to see deer and cattle. Roasted hot dogs and made s’mores in the fire pit, waded in the river, greatly enjoyed the air conditioning in this ridiculous heat! Even saw the Big Dipper. Will definitely plan to come back when it’s cooler.
