Perfect Base Camp for State Park Adventuring
Publié le 2 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwaySpent 3 nights and 4 days over Labor Day weekend exploring several State Parks as well as a hop to Grand Portage. This was a perfect no frills but very clean and comfortable rental to use as our base camp. Just a couple of minutes from all the dining and shop in Grand Marais with short drives to all the State Parks or River Trails you could possibly want to explore. It is right off superior and has a nice little porch to sit and listed to the animals and waves hitting the rocks. There is a view of the big lake, but somewhat impeded by trees. We will definitely be back but will likely upgrade to the Larger Wolf Den room rental at same location to have a Kitchen. All in all, a great property.

More than average space and unusually clean. Shower stall a little small for a large person, but fine for us. Hostess very pleasant, patient and helpful, though didn't seem very familiar with local restaurants. Quiet pleasant setting. Parking very convenient. Would certainly recommend. Oh, bring your own coffee creamer.
