This was honestly a terrible experience for my family we have been hotel hoping for about two months now while in between homes and we've stayed in most of the hotels in the area this was by far the worst and it's was a toy bummer because we were excited for the large space. I'll just give one example probably the worst of the experiences we encountered well we had went out to grab something to snack on for our movie night with the kids and it was raining super heavy we were only gone for a short period of time maybe 30-49 minutes and we returned to our room key not working icing on the cake is our 4 year old locked out keys in our car trying to help get little brother out of car . When we tried contacting front desk they were closed we followed with contacting emergency number and no answer we were stuck in the rain kicked out of our room for hours eventually tow guy showed got our car unlocked so at least we had shelter from the rain with our kids. I did something I shouldn't have and pried a window open to get inside but I had enough I wanted dry clothes it was just awful.

We were not able to get into the room. Finally we were let in and was told if we left we would have to call to be physically let in again. TV not working. They said I was not charged for the room but the charge is still on my card.

Rough Property, Understanding Management 1) The Affordable Suites were more like ghetto housing projects than a half decent Inn. 2) The Management was very understanding and refunded our bill We booked a weeklong stay for "Affordable Suites of America Grand Rapids" six months in advance. The pictures online seemed nice and the reviews were okay. We arrived last week, the check in was fine, but as soon as we pulled away from the office, it was clear something was very wrong. The landscaping was neglected, the outside facilities were dirty and some rubbish was laying around. The other vehicles parked were all worn-out jalopies. We parked, and found a intravenous needle on the parking lot. The smell of waste, pot, trash, and human body odor was unmistakable in the air. The inside of the suite we booked was sticky everywhere. The floor was dirty and sticky, the shower was broken, the microwave was broken. There were patched and unpainted holes and dings everywhere on the walls. The front desk management was very understanding when we pointed these things out and we received a full refund. Thank you for that!

Not happy!

For some reason our room was overbooked! Reservation was made weeks in advance, yet they didn't inform me of this situation until I was 1 hour away. I had to find other accommodations from my phone, on the side of the road. This was very inconvenient, and troubling. I will never book this establishment again!

Got a call that they canceled my reservation because my card didn’t go through. Called my bank and they said a charge was never even attempted. So I was left scrambling to find a hotel to stay at when I was half way there! There was a wait list and they had already given my room away. Who does that?

I chose the property because of it's proximity to shops/restaurants and the airport. It's very average and not worth the price I paid compared to other hotels I stayed at in the area. I had a few issues and the staff were accomodating and friendly, but not accessible other than by phone.
