Good breakfast but doesbt make up for thw rest

Great breakfast buffet but that was the best thing about the stay. Pool and hot tub looked nice but bc they were outside and it was raining we didnt get to use them. We went out to the zoo and got back around 11pm and us and another car were circling the parking lot over and bc there were no parking spots. There were lots of kids running around and being loud and loud above my room early in the morning. And one kid burned hersellf on coffee at breakfast bc her parents werent paying attention. The sofa bed was not comfy and only big enough for one person. The light from the curtains was at a bad angle bc of the way the bed was situated. Even though the breakfast was good and the check in girl was very nice. I didnt like anything else we had to deal with. Ive stayed different places in grand rapids and liked other hotels better. Prob wont be going to this one again.

Don't stay here if you need extra assistance

To start with, there was someone else living in our room when we checked in at 1 am. The room they finally gave us was as far as possible from the elevator and my husband is has a disability and uses a walker. Each morning before breakfast I had to wipe off the tables we used to because no one else was doing it. The staff was all very nice; I think it is the management that is the trouble because they won't talk about this.

Bathroom needs updates. Rust around the toilet. Carpet stained and in the bedrooms taped down. There was rust in the shower. There were homeless people in the parking lot living in their car.

Quick fix hiccup

Was a nice stay. When I originally went to check in the room wasn't ready due to maintenance needing to repair something but it was a short wait. However getting to the room, the dishwasher was going and just dumping soapy water all over the floor. Housekeeping was quick to clean it up however. The room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was delicious.
