Publié le 6 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayLovely little addition to a main home. Porch feels private and overlooks the hillside and city. The room itself was perfect for one person. I was traveling for work and the location right outside of town felt like a good disconnect while still being convenient. Exceptionally clean, great linens, quality furniture. Little touches everywhere like a robe, extra coffee pods, dimmable lights, and fresh fruit with the personalized welcome note made it feel like a nicer hotel. BONUS: someone in the main home plays violin, so you may get an evening serenade if sitting on the porch (can’t hear anything from main house while in the room).

The smell was horrendous! It was so bad that we ended up booking at a hotel down the road. The property owner not only didn't care but also kept our cleaning deposit even though we didn't stay there for more than 2 minutes. It was so bad we didn't even bring out stuff inside. This was followed with a 45 min call with VRBO and a drive back to the property to take pictures for the rep. Be aware that Expedia is now allowing VRBO properties and you will be dealing with VRBO not Expedia if your not happy with the property. The room looked like the owner converted part of their garage into a bedroom with a bathroom. You are under their house, the deck is rotten and dangerous, it doesn't feel private at all, we could have dealt with all of that for the 3 nights if it wasn't for the horrible smell in the room.

This is a wonderful place to stay, surrounded by nature and animals such as wild turkey and deer yet only a short drive to downtown Grants Pass. Plenty of insects too but that comes with the territory. The host was kind and communicative when she needed to be and the outdoor seating is a lovely touch. I felt at home as soon as I arrived. I would happily come back to stay at a future date!
