The picture of the room that appeared when I was looking for a hotel using AAPR Expedia was nothing like the actual room. I paid $141.90, including tax. I thought that was worth it based on the picture. I feel that this motel was falsely represented. When we arrived we found the place to be run down. The furniture was old. The bathtub was brown instead of white. The curtain was falling off the hooks on either end. Due to the condition of the room, it should have been $30 per night rather than what I paid. This hotel was not comparable to a good Super 8 or Best Western. As another customer pointed out in a review, it was noisy. Around 9 PM at night when I was seriously considering checking out, even if I had to pay anyway, there was an argument was going on outside our door. That was a scary situation for me considering the possibility that people may have guns. The only reasons I did not leave is that I did not think I'd find a vacancy that late in the evening. Plus, we were tired from a day of travel. From now on, I will always look for Hotels that are part of a good name chain, such as Super 8, Best Western, La Quinta or Days Inn. I would never go to the Stage Coach Inn again or recommend it to anyone else. I think AARP should review the picture that is shown in the reservation process and compare it to the actual rooms. Maybe they have one or more rooms like this. I did not see one. Please view multiple rooms to be sure. Ours was on the ground floor.
