Publié le 17 août 2024 sur HomeAwayProperty could use some maintenance . Master bathroom fan nor shower light worked. Drain in master shower was very slow in draining- after 2 minutes in shower, standing in ankle deep water.
Several lights burned out throughout house - den, kitchen table, outdoor, etc. Basement bedroom/ area was very musty smelling. Mattress lower level was extremely loud just to sit in it- highly recommend replacing. Toaster oven had something melted on top of it the day we walked in.

Stay was great!

We stayed as a group of 10 people so leaving just 2 bags of trash was not enough and possible so we had to drive a few miles to go dump the trash. Also the road to cabin was treacherous one way so have to drive very careful especially in night.
The entertainment room in bottom floor was great with a ping pong table and a pool table - we spent a good amount of time over there. I would recommend this place to others.

We apologize for the trash but our county does not offer trash pickup. We would have been happy to have made arrangements with you if you had asked. We hope you will stay with us again.

Marathon Weekend
Publié le 6 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayBeautiful, peaceful, restful, weekend. Great cabin for large groups of family or friends. We were there to support a friend running the Grayson Highlands Ultra Marathon, just over the state line in VA. This cabin was a great location about 20 min from the park. We were able to easily drive back and forth throughout the day to meet our friend at race check points, as well as be close to outdoor recreation for the kids. Easy 20 min. trip to West Jefferson, NC when we needed groceries or other supplies. The drive up to the cabin is beautiful, and the cabin was great for our group of 11.

Family Get Away

The road into the property, however, was mainly one lane and very scary to travel. Try to limit how many trips you make in and out of the property. All in all, the property was Wonderful!

Publié le 9 août 2023 sur HomeAwayThe property description said 12 people. we were 11. The bed sheets smelled dirty or muddy, no pleasant at all. There wasn’t enough sheets and blankets to accommodate the other people in sofa-beds. The place can be better for the price charged by night.

There is extra towels and linens in the cabin, and we would have been more than happy to send someone out to address the issue with the smell of the sheets. We do hope you will stay with us again.

Isolated and old cabin, dated appliances
Publié le 30 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayThe cabin does not provide more than 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom for 12 people staying 3 nights. Ridiculous!! Also, just one small slice of soap in each bathroom. Towels and bedsheets smell musty. Appliances are dated. Cabin’s approach road is treacherous, especially if you are leaving and there is another car coming in — your car will be facing a severe drop on left hand side. The hot tub had smelly gunk in it.
Only saving grace was good view from the back balcony. But will definitely not stay here not recommend to others.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review of your recent stay at Dream Mtn Lodge. The rental agreement clearly states that we leave a starter roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and a starter roll of paper towels in the kitchen. Small complimentary hand soaps are provided for guests. This information is also stated in our FAQ in the email that is sent out twice before arrival, so guests are aware of what items they need to bring.
The home was cleaned and prepared for your arrival just two days before, so sheets and towels were laundered after the previous guests.
Unfortunately, we do live in the mountains of Northwest North Carolina and roads can be a little scary. The road going into the neighborhood is a state-maintained road and most guests enjoy the adventure though it can be a little nerve wracking. Residents will back up and allow you to pass without any problem. This is a rural road and not heavily traveled.
All of our hot tubs are serviced before each arrival. We encourage our guests to reach out to us with any concern during their stay so it can be quickly addressed. One of the maintenance techs would have been more than happy to come out and check the hot tub if we had been notified.
Dream Mtn Lodge does offer an incredible view of the deck.
Moving forward, we will take your comments and concerns into consideration to improve our guests stay.

Great property

We enjoyed the hot tub, the spacious open kitchen dining and living area, the back porch views. The beds were comfortable except the basement beds. They could be improved. We didn’t spend much time in the basement as we liked the main floor best. Cell service worked fine. Property management was attentive to our internet issue.
