Responsive host—especially when in our excitement to get to the beach—I managed to lock the entry code inside and needed to call host for the code! Duh! Beautiful walks on the beach and gorgeous sunsets.

We've stayed before, and it seems there are always new touches that greet us when we return. A very private location in a spot looking out at the ocean that can't be beat, the host is always responsive - we'll be back!

A longer walk to the beach than we thought

The house sits back from the dunes so you don't have a full view of the beach (sand) just the water. The walk from the house to the beach is not a private trail so the first time we saw other people right by the deck we were surprised. The walk was also through mud in the dunes so after the first time going through it and having somone slip and fall we decided to walk to the nearby gravel road and then out to the beach so it was a treck for some in our group with mobility challenges. The dishwasheir does not work well so a lot of the silverware in the drawer had dried on, stuck on food, and some of the glasses in the cubbord were dirty. We originally only git 2 extra rolls of toilet paper for 7 people staying for a week, but when we reached out to the owner they they provided more. Our sincerest apologies that the home did not live up to your expectations. I definitely recommend anyone considering our property to check out all of our photos on the listing as they fairly and accurately show both the incredible views, from in and out of the home, and the distance and route of the walking path to the water thru the dunes. It can be a longer walk when the tide is out since the beach is very wide at our property. This is something most of our guests have enjoyed and commented on positively for its beachy splendor and added privacy by I am sorry it did not suit you all as we would have hoped. Luckily driving to the beach is also an option and less than two minutes from the home to the water.
As for cleanliness, I am so sorry to hear your experience was not the same as most of our guests who rave about the home being ultra clean. I have spoken to our housekeeper regarding your stay and disappointment with the dishes in particular to ensure that nothing is overlooked during future cleanings. This is not acceptable to not have them all clean and perfect.
Thank you again for letting us know about our shortcomings so we can continue to strive to provide a perfect experience for every guest.

Favorite VRBO!

Feels like home with all the amenities, very clean, comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood, excellent beach view, and thoughtfully decorated with the ocean/beach theme. Days at the beach were excellent with the ability to drive right down, great sand, plenty of space, & whole sand dollars. We will definitely be coming back!!

Beautiful View, Comfortable Home

The home had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The beds were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Westport area.

Lovely house
Publié le 5 août 2024 sur HomeAwayI have lovely childhood memories of Grayland and this house helped create wonderful memories for my own children. It had everything we needed! We loved the view and the short walk to the beach. We appreciated the games and toys-my son loved the Lincoln Logs. The kids have already asked, “Can we go back?”
