Beautiful pond side setting
Publié le 1 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was a beautifully appointed property on an estate overlooking a pond. The apartment was spotless and the caretaker was most helpful when we needed anything. The rooms were well supplied and perfect for us. Thank you for letting us experience the quintessence of the Berkshires.

I loved having Natalie and her company because they were able to treat the place with respect, have a great time, and enjoy the area. They were awesome with renting the space and I hope I get to host them again.

Not my favorite rental
Publié le 24 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is a two-room apartment separated by a hallway. There was a small window air conditioner in the bedroom and in the living room. It was hot most of the days of my visit, and on arrival only the living room unit was on. It took 2 full days and nights at max operation to cool down the apartment, and the noise, especially at night, was like sleeping in a cheap airport hotel.
Bathroom had NO counter space for toiletries.
The closet reeked of whatever the people in the unit on the other side of the wall were cooking. i had to move all my clothes out of the closet so they wouldn't stink.
EVERY DAY I killed multiple hornets in the living room window.
I called the owner and the property manager showed up two days later. I left the following morning.

Good things in small packages...
Publié le 20 août 2024 sur HomeAwayConvenient and beautiful location for not so beautiful building. Contrary to misleading pics there is no place to hang outside and enjoy the surroundings. The wall of interesting books will keep you occupied if forced to spend time on site. Good choice for short stay exploring the area. Creatively renovated interior with barn siding and "hidden" kitchen.

I am so sorry that you had a problem with the apartment.I will speak to your neighbor about your difficulties! The lady who looks after the rental has had a death in the family and was not in town to look after the problem as would have been the case in more normal circumstances. But I hope you had a passable time anyway. Gilliam

A lovely place to stay
Publié le 23 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThe location of this property is wonderful - far enough away from the hustle and bustle yet close enough to get to any neighboring towns and main thoroughfares easily. I felt comfortable in the space and looked forward to returning at the end of each day. The property itself is beautiful and well cared for. The staff who oversees the property was welcoming, friendly and attentive and responded immediately to any questions or needs. I would definitely stay here again.

Sweet Apartment
Publié le 5 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayEverything you could want for a nice quiet stay. The apt is very roomy and well appointed. Small kitchen with all you need. Messages to the owner were answered promptly. The grounds are incredibly beautiful. No reason not to stay here.

Perfect in every way
Publié le 14 août 2023 sur HomeAwayI'm never staying anywhere else again when I come to the Berkshires for Tanglewood, etc. The apartment was immaculate and well-equipped, and it's elegant and cozy at the same time. The property is so gorgeous that even the lovely photos don't do it justice. It's pin-drop quiet yet a short drive from both downtown GB and Beartown State Park. A magical place!

Diamond in the rough
Publié le 21 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis charmingly renovated stable, is advertised as being on a 50 acre farm. Truth is, it sits on a baronial estate, complete with hilltop Manor, house, orchards, pond and large greenhouse filled with flowers for the well manicured grounds. Our most lasting memory was sipping wine while sitting in, the Adirondack chairs overlooking the pond and watching swallows swoop down for their evening meal of floating insects.
