New owners not Super 8

The hotel is no longer Super 8. It is called the Grizzly. The new owners bought it a minth a go. Even though the owner was great, the shift manager didn't recognize that we had a booking. He looked up on his computer and said it wasn't on there. Even with my confirmation on my phone he wouldn't recognize my booking still. There was no prewarning that the hotel was changing to give us a chance to make other arrangements. If the owner wasn't there to point out that was a stack of printed out Super 8 bookings the shift manager acted like he knew nothing trouble is the ypung girl there said they were over on the counter. The owner was very kind and helped us. The room wasn't what we booked vut the accommodated us as best they could. Booked a King got a double queen. There was only enough towels for one person, there was no trash bin either, had to ask for both. I understand change overs are hard but a prewarning would have been given.

The carpets were disgusting with lots of large stains everywhere. I don't even know where to begin with the bathroom. The sink faucet was missing parts, the toilet paper holder was rusty and dirty. The tub looked like someone had tried to dye something black and is now stained gray. The surface in the tub was so slippery I almost fell numerous times throughout my shower. The bathroom walls were probably re-painted by a young child as the paint is all over the tub surround. I would never stay here again. This dump isn't even worth half of the $140 it cost to stay here.

Room was absolutely filthy. There was pizza pepperoni/cheese on the chair. The hotel was heavily booked with people and there were multiple signs saying how full it was. Carpet was disgusting. Breakfast was subpar (there were no spoons for the cereal, oatmeal and fruit cups) and no waffle maker. The area doesn't feel safe and the back door was never locked.

Busier times lead to more desperate climes, being pulled thin with the amount of guests may have led to some minor issues, but as we are 24/7, if you let us know of an issue, we can fix that issue. As, if you had let the staff know, we hope was fixed to an agreeable degree.

Room was not cleaned when we arrived 2 hours after check in, once we were checked in, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, the carpet was filthy, the chair in the room was so dirty, that we would not sit in it. We asked for extra pillows, they were not able to provide. The bathtub would not hold water, so in order to bath, we had to cover the drain with a plastic bag. We had to clean the shower before we felt that we could use it. We were in a smoking room which we DID NOT book, the smell was awful, and was impacting our comfort and enjoyment. We were beside an outside door, that was continually being opened and slammed shut all night. Overall we will NEVER stay at this hotel again. For the money we spent, we were very disappointed.

Though we can agree to some minor technical issues, we would be remiss to not point out that your reservation was made through Expedia for a smoking room, and even in the notes sent from them it requests a smoking room in particular. As to cleanliness, we wish that some form of report was made while you were here rather than after your visit, it is much more feasible to see the issue handled in the moment, rather than be regretted later. We do hope that should you find yourselves in Great Falls again, you'll stop in and receive the full intended experience.
