My special island.
Posted May 24, 2023 on HomeAwayI have been going to Great Harbour Cay for 45 years or more. Unfortunately I had to go last weekend for a funeral of my best friend there. I invited her daughter and grandkids to stay with me and we needed a bigger Villa. We fit very comfortably. I prefer to be right on the ocean but my timing was off so we had to walk for less than a minute to the ocean. First world problems right? Anyway, it’s an incredible island and we had a great weekend, and we have everything we needed in the Villa, there were plenty of towels the big bed was comfy.

There were no surprises other than the sad effects of Covid.

Great spot unless you didn't have a boat
Posted Jul. 20, 2021 on HomeAwayThe point of being at a small island in the Bahamas like this is that you definitely need a boat to enjoy the beauty and bounty of this area. It's a great alternative to the Marina Villas if there isn't room there if you have a boat. But otherwise unless you want a complete get away, this is not the place but just speaking of the island. The condo was nice and clean and the beach is incredible which is a one minute walk. It's a great spot if you are with people with a boat and there's no room at the marina. We walked most times back and forth to the marina which was about a 12 minute walk. Otherwise, one time we took a taxi and they charged us $10 for a 3 minute ride. Make sure you ask the price of the cab before you get in!

Cute, clean, well appointed, great location!
Posted Jun. 21, 2021 on HomeAwayWe loved our stay in this villa and would definitely come back. Lots of clean and soft towels and sheets. Beds were comfy. Laundry was helpful! Well equipped, yet tiny kitchen. No privacy with open lofts, but overall clean, comfortable and we LOVED the beach! GHC is a gem. Hosts and manager were very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend.

Bahamas bliss
Posted Mar. 18, 2021 on HomeAwayGreat Harbour Cay was such an enjoyable, relaxing, beautiful, quaint space! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
We left blow up paddle boards, fishing equipment, chairs etc all outside at night with no issues. Neighbors were friendly, honest, and helpful.
The location to the beach was great as well, just a short stroll around the corner.
Christine came to meet us and help us settle in.
We would definitely recommend the place!

Great Place!!
Posted Dec. 31, 2019 on HomeAwayEverything was perfect but we could have used extra trash bags and TP. Super enjoyable place that is small but exceptionally well laid out for a small family. Feels like home away from home. We would rent again in a second! thank you.
