Caister on Sea

Booked literally a day before we arrived.....very quick communication with hosts. Easy check in, caravan was immaculate. 6 of us in the caravan and it still felt really spacious. Perfect location, walking distance to beach and really close to all the activities on the Haven site. Will definitely use again in the future.

No WiFi Fridge not switched on Shower not working properly

Our 3 boys were disappointed when the WiFi didn't work. The fridge had not been switched on. Bathroom window was jammed and couldn't be opened. Entrance door difficult to open and close. Shower was of poor quality....low flow and temperature difficult to adjust.

Vikram, I’m sorry to see you’ve felt the need to leave this review minutes after I’ve claimed for the broken fridge door. There is no fault with the front door, I will double check the window as this is the first I’ve heard of it, I wish you had mentioned at the time, as we had another guest in since yourself (who left a 5 star review on here) and also a private rental which again left a glowing review. You messaged at 6:20am on Good Friday to say that the hot water was not working, then messaged back later to say you’d worked it out (one tap does temperature the other controls flow), although no one has had trouble operating this before, I will make sure that we pass this on in future. The second contact I had with you was that the Wi-Fi did not work, I arranged to come by on Good Friday at 5pm to look at the Wi-Fi but had explained that I expected this to be related to the new mast being erected on site. I picked up a phone on route as a back up for you to hotspot off and also to check the sim in the router. At 7 minutes past 5 on Good Friday you messaged to ask where I was, I was pulling up, my apologies for running a little late. I stayed one hour resetting and trying to get a signal, however the sim wasn’t at fault. I offered to leave you a phone running on a different network for you to hotspot on but your 3 sons said they didn’t need the wifi as they were on holiday. You told me I should have shown you there were switches on the sides of the panel radiators in the rooms as you were good as you thought they hadn’t worked initially. You had worked this out by the time I saw you, again in the five years we’ve had the fan, we’ve not had anyone struggle to work this out, but this is noted and I’ll ensure we communicate there is a switch on the side of the panel heaters in future. On Easter Sunday you said that your fruit salad had gone off in the fridge as the fridge was switched off when you arrived, this I apologised for and said I’d take up with cleaners to make sure that in future they check that this is on. I did send you a refund as goodwill for the fruit salad. When the cleaners went in to do the checkout they found the door damaged, I asked you about this damage and raised a claim. I then received a threatening message. I did everything I could to make your stay comfortable. You asked me to check that the remote control worked before you arrived as you’d stayed at a Haven before and the remote didn’t work, I even did this for you.

Great stay. Was a good base to explore the Yarmouth area. Excellent facilities. Very nice property. Looking forward to our next visit.

Caister family stay

The caravan was lovely and homely with everything you needed to make you feel comfortable. The location being near to the main facilities was great, without being too close to be intrusive. Lucy the owner could not have done anymore to make to ensure that our mini break was a great success. Communication with Lucy was superb. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Not a good caravan

When we checked in and went to the caravan after a 5 hour journey to be greeted with no bedding, we had to clean the van before we even unpacked we sent photos to Lucy and Damien which was a total waste of time as they thought it was acceptable, the whole caravan was filled with the owners belongings which we have never experienced in a haven caravan site before, we will not be using this site again as we have asked for compensation following our complaint to Lucy and Damien with no further response from them.

I wish I could leave pictures of what you find unacceptable, a few spots on the top of the inside of the microwave, a small mark on the icebox handle and some crumbs on the oven rim are not a disgusting caravan, our cleaners sent us pictures after they cleaned and the caravan looked lovely. We did offer you half the cleaning fee back however you declined the offer. We also offered you a full refund if you’d decided to leave. We don’t feel you were due anymore. As for the bedding..it clearly stated when you booked with VRbO that duvets and pillows are provided, but you will need to bring your own linen. We do have personal items in our caravan but not to the point they would have ruined your stay, we always leave some ice creams in the icebox, a pint of milk and tea/coffee facilities so after a long journey our guests have something nice to arrive to, never have we had someone upset by this. It’s just supposed to be a nice gesture. We can only apologise that you feel your stay was so disappointing, however in my opinion you were simply annoyed you didn’t have bedding on your arrival and so you’ve picked holes that weren’t there. Your stay for the week in our caravan was half the price of what haven would charge already. To say this is not a good caravan is unfair.

Short family break

The caravan was nice and clean upon arrival and it is located in a great location within the park next door to all the amenities. The owners explained everything before arrival. There is plenty of space in the caravan for a family group and is fully equipped with everything necessary for a self catering holiday, although the restaurant and bar is only 100m away if you are lazy. Would definitely recommend

Caravan was very clean and in a great location on park only issue was it had No central heating only electric panels which made it quite cold in there . Apart from that was lovely 😊

Great place to stay

Absolutely great stay at caister on sea, brill location of caravan, everything you need, entertainment, shop etc, just literally 1 min walk, caravan lovely and clean, owners communication brill, everything you need for a get away, we had a blast, we definitely recommend.
