Publié le 12 juin 2023 sur HotelsThe hosts were lovely when we saw them but no reception or bar area and no where to eat food or relax the room was adaquate but got woken at 2.30 am by nextdoor arguing as walls were real thin and could hear everything

So sorry to hear your stay with us wasn’t as smooth as it could have been. You should have rung bell and I would have come out and asked next door to be quieter but they were also guests from Expedia. This is an old building and the walls are thin. We do not advertise a bar or reception area we are just a small guest house. I wasn’t around much as was my oldest sons birthday and now that I run this alone since my husband’s death it is a little more difficult

I’m sorry you didn’t like your room at our hotel we have ordered new mattress protectors as I agree these were grubby but they are clean just marked we had a guest that fell asleep with tap on which caused flooding in upstairs room so we had to dry ceiling out but we are not offering food at min so didn’t consider that a problem and we had electric board in to read meters on Tuesday and he obviously didn’t re lock the cupboard afterwards docs. Only apologise for that as I didn’t notice before your arrival

Absolutely filthy, me and kids got bitten, found fleas, someone was walking round with a kitten, ceiling fan looked like it was falling down! Cracks in ceiling, pulled back too bed sheet to find another bed sheet with poo smeared! Wee stains.. holes in curtains, cat paw print yellow marks on bunk bed, was vile never coming back.. didn’t get no sleep what so ever and staff barely around just gave us key and that was it didn’t see or hear from them after.. not safe for a family..

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. No-one before or after was bitten no fleas here the man with the kitten was a friend and just visiting he had just bought the kitten for 700 and wax stopping the night before returning home he is a returning guest who stays several times a year. The ceiling fans move on a ball mechanism so wobble quite a bit but are checked every year. The cracks in the ceiling are from other guests and it is a false ceiling of ceiling tiles just been slow on getting new ones delivered this year even though have been on order some supply issue. The mattress protector on the bed was stained but clean. The curtains did need changing but was waiting on putting up new curtains poles which can’t be done on a busy weekend but are being done today. We thought better to have curtains up as opposed to No curtains up. I gave them the key and was around all evening even saw the young man a couple of times and if they had rung bell would have come out. I wasn’t around so much in morning but since my husband died earlier this year have had trouble sleeping and can oversleep in mornings so can only apologise for that but we are trying our best to sort all problems during a very difficult time.

Did me for what i needed

Could do with a freshen up front painted again and a couple of other things
Ideal if you only need somwhere to crash out and sleep
I would stay again
But on my own . Bed was squeaky

Thank you for comments been hard couple of years and we have had no help from government and husband been Ill we are looking to update outside in the future . All beds are new so possible needs tightening up again. Hope to see you again sometime. Thank you for the keys
