The most relaxed break ever
Publié le 28 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed for a fortnight in this wonderful apartment in the lovely village of Gennadi. While the village may not suit those wanting to ‘do’ lots of things, it was perfect for us. If you had children I would recommend hiring a car, we didn’t and had no problem hopping on a bus a couple of times to see more of the island. Most days we spent in Gennadi just enjoying the peace and tranquility. The beach is a five minute walk away and while there was always people there it was never overcrowded.
We tried every restaurant and all of them were good (some were so good we went back twice!).
Jason was very approachable and helpful and definitely contributed to how great our overall experience was.
The only thing I would mention is that there is no WiFi in the apartment. While not being a slave to our phones probably increased our enjoyment and contributed to how relaxing our stay was I can imagine if you had kids they might find it against their human rights and demand retribution!
For us though it was perfect and we will definitely return.

Ideal for 2

Ideal for 2 and conveniently located to explore the island and for self catering everything you need -supermarket- bakery with wicked rolls & pastries & green grocers. Plenty of restaurants, the one we used most is Mamas Kitchen less than 5 mins from the apartment, nice friendly staff, be prepared for large portions, Kleftico or Sea Beam are a must. Being a working village can be a little noisy at times but you adjust. Matt the maintenace guy is very helpfull, his wife had made 2 home made fruit desserts plus large chocolate cake, the bottle of red wine upon arrival was a nice touch. The wild fires (2023) had affected the area but not to spoil the holiday. Would we go again, you bet, health prermitting as we are both in our mid seventies.

Perfect apartment in Gennadi

with balconies front and back, to catch sun or shade. There is plenty of space to spread out in.
There were some thoughtful touches to welcome us.
The pool area is wonderful and the apartment has its own sunbeds. For several days we had the pool to ourselves The whole apartment block and pool are very well maintained.
Jason, the owner was really quick to answer any questions or concerns before or during our stay.
The apartment itself is quiet, but a couple of minutes walk and you are in bustling heart of Gennadi full of restaurants.

Love'd it!
Publié le 21 août 2022 sur HomeAwayThe property was exactly as described. Very comfortable and convenient location. There was a night in which the nearby cafè had loud music until 5AM which kept us awake all night. The good thing was that I assume the Municipality had it shut down for 10 days otherwise it would have been a nightmare!
The AC, washing machine, fridge, microwave and toaster all worked perfectly.
Only thing that didn't work out was the satelite TV. Not much to see besides the news channels CNN, BBC and France 24. All the other stations were in arab or with no signal. Not an issue if you have reading to do.
Unfortunately there is NO WIFI.

Publié le 10 août 2022 sur HomeAwayWe had a lovely stay in the very clean apartment. Matt the caretaker and his wife made a lovely welcome pudding. He gave us his number and was always helpful for all our needs. The location was good though the main beach was an hour away by bus though there were lots of buses. Thanks Jason and Matt. We’re definitely returning. There were restaurants and local shops including a bakery near by in the local area together with a pool.

Excellent apartment
Publié le 24 sept. 2019 sur HomeAwayMy wife and I have just returned from a two week stay in Jason's apartment in Ginnadi, this is the first time of staying in this accommodation. We asked Jason if he could arrange for some bottled water & milk to be put in the fridge as we were arriving late and upon or arrival we found not only these items but also carton of orange juice plus four chocolate muffins (a nice touch).The apartment is very well equipped with quality appliances and was very spacious for the two of us (although will accommodate four). The complex was quiet and most days we used the pool we had it all to ourselves. The local beach is pebble & shingle although about 10 mins drive away is a sandy bay Glystra Beach. We used this mostly as the sand is more comfortable under foot and for swimming is shallow, also very child friendly, plenty of sun beds, snack bar, and basic toilets.
Plenty of restaurants in the village (our favourite "Mamas Kitchen"-hope you have a big appetite), supermarket, fruit & veg and a fantastic bakery bread & pastries. Ginnadi is a working village so some traffic noise
I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and would like to return at some point.

A lovely apartment situated in a truly perfect location.
Publié le 26 août 2019 sur HomeAwayIf you’re wanting to enjoy the relaxation of the true Greek Islands and experience real Greek life, then look no further. Ideal location for the beach, local bars and restaurants and bus stop if you’re wanting to go further afield.
Only a one bedroom apartment but with the sofa bed, still provided enough room for me, my wife and two boys. The pool is clean and just what’s needed when sunbathing in the gorgeous August weather.
The village is quiet but the bars and restaurants are great, with a few favourites of ours being Mamas, Zorbas and the Lab. In addition to which, we made short trips to other villages - Lardos, Lindos and Kattavia where the locals are also so welcoming and enjoyed some great nights and afternoons.
The local bakery situated about 150 yards up the road, amongst other things, sells delicious bread, croissants and doughnuts and their milkshakes were a real hit with my boys.
Jason was great and was quick to respond to any queries I had and couldn’t have been more accommodating in all honesty.
