Lovely place in Crete
Publié le 1 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe loved the nice and modern villa with its private pool. The center of Maroulas is two minutes walking distance from the villa. The villa was very clean and the owners so kind and friendly. The best part was all the animals close to the house and the calm environment. We hope to be able to return in the future and thanks for the wonderful time in Maroulas.

The pool had not been cleaned. There was a thick layer of grease or suntan

Great Home - after rebuilding

- Contemporary, modern look. Nice furniture.
- got one day 12 fresh eggs from the farmer (owner?) next door
Cons:
Wish it was cleaner:
- Silicone in bathroom/shower starting to turn brownish.
- Glass room divider upstairs not clean
- Windows same
- Floor not really clean, you can't see it, but when you run a cloth over it, the cloth gets dirty immediately.
- Faucet in bad condition, kind of loose; no filter at the end, so water "spreads" out of the faucet.

Wauw dit was echt een super mooie en een toffe locatie. Zo fijn en top locatie om heerlijk te chillen en te genieten.
Vriendelijke eigenaren / beheerders ik ga niet te veel zeggen je moet het gewoon ervaren

Wir wurden von sehr netten Nachbarn / Verwaltern betreut.

The Villa on a Hill

Overlooking the coast line with a spacious yard and private pool made it a proper place to escape to but with Rethimno only 10 mins drive away. You'll need a hire car to access the property but the road is easy despite being narrow.
Only remote downside was the little farm across the driveway has a peacock and roosters so dont expect a sleep in!

Lovely villa in a perfect setting

We loved it before but it's even better now, clean and modern throughout with huge windows to make the most of the stunning views. The morning visits from the peacocks who live at the farm across the way were a highlight of each day.
The staff are just as lovely as we remembered from last time and couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful country retreat and looking forward to booking our next visit.

Great holiday with friends!
Publié le 14 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayWe booked the Finca for about a week with 2 friends. The communication with Richard was very easy and he made sure that we had everything we needed. We could even check in earlier.
The Villa itself just got renovated. The Pool and the Area around the Villa is beautiful. You definetely need a car but you can reach the beach and Rethymno in about 15 Minutes.
All in all it was an amazing holiday and i can only recommend booking this Finca for your holiday. We will come back for sure!
