The stay was ok. Breakfast was not available as per what was advertised. The bed and the pillow could be softer.

You get what you paid for. First of all, there's no check in. I was told they have no information about my reservation. Apparently they forgot to inform the security abt it. As I said, you get what you paid for, but I was not expecting to have a stare down with roaches. It watching me watching it lol. Not somewhere I would recommend at all

I had a good week-long stay and a great time in July 2022. If you want to stay away from the tourist scene and experience rural Jamaica, this is a place to do so. The folks that work there are most welcoming, hospitable, and incredibly helpful. Some of the facilities need work, and the water supply for bathing was randomly functional, but the good folks there always had a work-around for such issues. If you want fancy soap, new towels/linens, and a cushy place w/ western style 24hr service many bar/restaurants next door Vivienne's is not the place for you!! If you want to get away from it all, chill out, but with the ability to travel into the tourist areas such as Negril or Montego Bay, this might be your place!! Travel by taxi is cheap, but they stop for everyone along the road and will fill the vehicle beyond capacity. Forget social distancing. Hiring Charter drivers/guides are the best, but vary significantly in price. They are exponentially more expensive than taxis, but the ladies at the Villa can work to get you the best deal with people they know and trust. Ultimately, Charter drivers are like your 'good man Friday,' who can take you on great rural day trips or city transport & guidance to great places therein. They usually hang out close enough by to help keep you from getting ripped off or in trouble for not knowing local expectations/laws. When I someday go back to Jamaica, I will have Vivienne's on my 'likely to return' list!

STAY AWAY

Publié le 14 avr. 2022 sur HomeAway
Booked this property for two nights and it was the worst experience. Minimal to no hot water, AC is at the bare minimum. Gaps around the door which cause insects and lizards to crawl in, holes in the windows. I ended up staying only one night even though I paid for two. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR!! A real ghetto experience!! I have pictures of the old bed linen, yellowed towel, no wash cloth, half a soap. The best experience I had there was the young lady at the front desk who tried everything to make my stay bearable. The person who owned this place should be JAILED FOR FRAUD!!

I Have to say i love my stay at Vivienne's stay 4 weeks i would recommend anyone to this property. Its just what the doctor order lol relaxed place away from the busy hotels. Taxis to Negril cost just $170 Jamaican dollars as i visit negril everyday. Which this was not my first stay in Jamaica . Been going to Jamaica 35 years. My first stay in an apartment which i would recommend anyone to stay at Vivienne's just a few hiccups to the stay but not major. Thankyou tried to book again for the same dates but full
