Staff throughout hotel were friendly and helpful! Jessica texted me in the morning to welcome us and let me know that our room was not ready but she’d text again once it was. NO OTHER HOTEL CHAIN HAS EVER TEXTED WITH INFO PRIOR TO OUR ARRIVAL!!! Our bed and pillow were comfortably, and heater worked and was quiet. The only deficiency was the bathroom in our room. It was clean and serviced, but fixtures, paint, tub, were old, and walls needed to be patched, repainted, and baseboard tile had been ripped away.

The representative was very helpful and polite. Initially, I was given a room that was unclean. Notified the staff and she immediately found me a clean room. The floor at check in was dirty.

BED BUGS
Don't stay here. BED BUGS!! When we checked in, there was a large group drinking and loud and disorderly in the lobby. That should've been my clue right then to go elsewhere. But it was 9:30pm the day before Thanksgiving. We got into the room and the remote did not work. There was no chair at the desk. The bathroom sink had mens hair shaving in it. The tub was dirty and stained. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling. The bedcovers had food stain on them. I started itching when I got in bed, but thought it was psychosomatic. Nope. Friday I noticed bedbug bites all over my torso. DO NOT STAY HERE! It was so gross.

The facility is old and needs many repairs. I feel sorry for the really nice staff who have to try and appease the customers. Bathrooms need to be gutted and please do not look under the beds....had not been vaccumed for years from the looks of it. Best thing was the Front Desk Clerk that was there when I arrived at 10:45 pm. The card key machine was down so she had to walk me to the room and use the master key to open the door. Otherwise, the bed was very comfortable. Bedding was fresh and towels looked new which is something that a well run hotel will provided. Whoever is over the housekeeping is doi g a great job with the linens. Chose this place because I thought Cleveland MS was up amd coming and taking pride in its town, and you can usually always depend on a Holiday Inn Express, but this Holiday Inn Express did not work out.

Bathtub is filthy and black mold on the bathroom ceiling. I hate giving bad reviews it the place was a it run down and the bathroom was unacceptable.

I stay in hotels about 60 days a year and this is the worst one I have stayed in. The room was filthy. Something that resembled lotion on the bathroom counter, shower curtain rod was broke and I had to zip tie the curtain to take a shower, the tub itself was stained brown, the drain was broke off and there was a used bar of soap in the shower. I’ve never seen anything like it.
