We (a group of 10 friends) stayed here for a week. The home is on the Grindelwald side of the river, a short walk from "Terminal" (for train connections, and gondola to Kleine Scheidegg), and with a bus stop literally out the front door (with connections to the center of Grindelwald). It is walkable to town, but a bit steep; the bus is easier.
The kitchen is modern and well appointed. The dining table is huge and suits 10 people just fine. The living area and outdoor patio/lawn are very nice.
Three bedrooms have double beds. Two have bunk/twin beds, best suited for children - though we adults squeezed into them. Three bedrooms share a second-floor balcony with views of the Eiger! Two bedrooms have a few of the street and the slopes above Grindelwald. One of the double-bed bedrooms is on the main floor.
We used the washing machine and air-dried our laundry on drying racks. Great to have!
We did not need the rec room or garage.
I would have appreciated more power outlets (for charging phones, laptops, etc), especially in the bedrooms, especially by the desk in that one room that has the desk.
If you arrive/depart by train, get off at "Grindelwald (Terminal)" (not "Grindelwald", in the center of town) because it is a much shorter walk with luggage. That said, if you DO get off at Grindelwald, walk a block to the bus stand and take the #123 down to the property at "Hellbach" stop. It only runs once an hour and doesn't run into the evening.
