Magnificent Vista
Posted Dec. 5, 2024 on HomeAwayThe Albatross Nest is an aptly named property on a ridgeline overlooking the ocean. The views are stunning from the very nice pool and other adjacent outside living areas. There were several different large furniture groupings that allowed multiple conversational areas, both out in the sun or under a roof. Our host Kris was quite helpful and responsive. We had quite a bit of fun in Gros Islet and the surrounding towns.
This has the first time we stayed in an open concept Caribbean home. We were one with nature and it was lovely for most. One couple thought the nighttime jungle sounds imposed on their sleep; I embraced the serenade. One thought to keep in mind is that the roads in St Lucia can be very steep, slippery and rough. Remember to get a proper vehicle or use the nice driver that works for the Villa.

Thank you for your lovely comments about the house. The property provides multiple areas to relax in shade or sun.
The Great Room/sitting room is open concept providing 180 degree views and you hear the sounds of nature and the sea.
The roads in St Lucia can indeed be steep and in poor condition. A 4x4 vehicle is perfect. We recommend a driver from the airport so that guests don’t need to navigate the roads on arrival after a flight and hire car can be delivered to the house.

Phenomenal vista
Posted Nov. 8, 2024 on HomeAwayPrivate oasis with beautiful grounds and panoramic views. Well equipped home with everything needed for a couple or family. Very peaceful exclusive neighborhood. Had unexpected occasion to communicate with the property owner, first class host in all respects.

Stunning Albatross Nest!
Posted Aug. 23, 2024 on HomeAwayAlbatross was as beautiful in person as it was in pictures! The views were entrancing. The property was well kept and clean. Our just Kris was informative and answered all our questions! She booked trips and taxis for us which was so helpful. Ivy the housekeeper was a dear and so sweet. Really a pleasure to be around. The pool kept us cool on hot days, and it's beautiful at night.

Amazing Stay
Posted Aug. 10, 2024 on HomeAwayOur family of 6 stayed here and it was perfect! Bedrooms were comfortable and the outdoor living was beyond what I was expecting. Kris (house manager) was wonderful! So accommodating and provided excellent recommendations. Ivy (house keeper ) is the sweetest! Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with us while we were there but this villa and Kris’s recommendation for a boat day saved our vacation!

SLU Carnival
Posted Jul. 18, 2024 on HomeAwayA group of 7 of us stayed at Albatross Nest for carnival 2024. We had an absolutely wonderful time and the pictures do not do the view justice. We had a car rental car but driving at night is tough if you do not know the roads. A few taxis had a hard time finding us but was not an issue once they dropped us once. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Albatross Nest is a good base for friends and families to stay in St Lucia, whether to enjoy the carnival, explore the island or to simply unwind and enjoy relaxing at the house. It is hard to capture just how stunning the views are from the house!

AMAZING VIEWS!!
Posted Jun. 19, 2024 on HomeAwayWe recently stayed there with our adult children and had the most relaxing vacation!! The pool and house were perfect for us! The whole house team from Kris and Diane providing us suggestions for restaurants and activities. Ivy, the housekeeper, was great!! Ask about the private chef, Eike, you will not regret it!!

Fabulous Relaxing Villa

Between the beautiful views, terrific pool and wonderfully accessible location, it met and exceed all of our expectations. The outdoor lifestyle was perfect for St. Lucia and we relished the entire experience. We hope to visit again!

We are delighted you found the house wonderful.
We suggest a taxi from the airport is a good option with hire car delivered to the house the next day. Kris, the villa manager can organise this. The house can be pre-stocked with food for arrival and breakfast.
Beaches, restaurants, shops and golf course are all within 15/20 minute drive.
If you do not drive or don’t want to, Kris the villa manger can recommend a driver for your stay.

Albatross Nest
Posted May 9, 2024 on HomeAwayBeautiful property, full outdoor living except bedrooms. Sunsets are amazing, beautiful pool, house keeping and grounds staff, our driver Donald, all absolutely amazing. Went on two 1.2 day boat trips out of Rodney Bay, Dinner out at Naked Fisherman and Cliffs, amazing. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glassware and utensils, two refrigerators and a bar fridge, check in - a LOT of information given about safety, keys, alarm, what is to be locked up, etc. Its a lot of information all at one time. This is a remote home and not walkable to restaurants and shops. A driver or car is needed.
