PETS: As of today, we allow one house-trained and neutered pet per stay for a pet fee of $150. If you have more than one pet that wishes to join the trip, please reach out to host for details. Please communicate immediately with us any damage or things worth noticiting related to your pet during your stay, so our maintenance team can be prepared and get things ready for the next guests. Pets are allowed on the premises of the vacation rental subject to the following conditions and restrictions:

1. Guests are required to disclose the presence of any pets prior to booking the vacation rental. Failure to disclose pets may result in additional charges or cancellation of the reservation.
2. A maximum of 1 pets are allowed per reservation. If you have more than one pet that wishes to join the trip, please reach out to host for details. Only domesticated pets such as dogs and cats are permitted. Guests must provide information about the breed, size, and age of their pets.
3. Guests are responsible for the behavior and well-being of their pets at all times. Pets must be under the control of their owners and kept on a leash or within a carrier when outside the vacation rental. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY CAUSED TO AND BY YOUR PET.
4. Pets are not allowed on any furniture, including beds, sofas, or chairs. Guests are responsible for bringing appropriate pet bedding or crates for their pets.
5. Guests are required to clean up after their pets both inside and outside the vacation rental. Waste bags or scooping tools must be used to remove pet waste, which should be disposed off in designated trash containers.
6. Pets should not be left unattended in the vacation rental, NO MATTER if they are in a crate or confined to a specific area approved by the property owner. Excessive barking or any other disturbance caused by pets may result in eviction from the premises.
7. Guests are liable for any damages caused by their pets. Any damages, including but not limited to scratches, stains, or odors, will be assessed and charged accordingly.
8. The vacation rental owner or property management company reserves the right to deny entry or request the removal of any pet that is deemed aggressive, disruptive, or poses a threat to the safety of other guests, staff, or property.
9. An additional pet fee per pet may apply. This fee covers the cost of extra cleaning and potential damages associated with pets.

Stunning Ocean Views Perfect for Relaxing
We loved staying at Castlerock. Obviously lets start with the views. You really can't turn around without seeing the ocean. The hot tub on the deck overlooking the ocean at sunset honestly felt like the best treat you could ever have. Sitting outside in the morning, drinking coffee with the ocean was magical. The waves are constant and lull you to sleep and keep the peace. The house is well stocked, the kitchen is super user friendly and labeled nicely. Thank you for the binoculars and telescope to try to catch whales and the clearest stars. We felt at home!

Absolutely wonderful home. If this place were a clover it would have five leaves. Everything we wanted in a NorCal coastal trip. Beautiful views, great beaches nearby, convenient local shopping, restaurants and perfect amenities at the house. The beautiful decks, ample Adirondack style chairs, and a perfectly peaceful hot tub at night looking up at a star-filled sky. There isn't really any way to get better than this unless a butler were involved. We want to go back here again and again.

Lovely place with amazing view
Loved this place. Was super clean and beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked (though spice cupboard could use a cleaning). The parking was easy and the location was very central to Gualala. But THE VIEW is the reason you stay here. It’s amazing. And the super clean hot tub on the deck watching the sunset is perfection. My only caveat that I would mention for others is that it’s not in a great walking area ( unless you want to walk to town). But all in all a gem of a home and would love to stay at again! Terry, the host, was very accommodating and communicative. It was a great vacation!

Ideal location super accessible to Gualala, Sea Ranch Lodge and even 2 Fish Bakery, just a bit further! Creative interior design and well outfitted kitchen. The only strange design flaw is that the 2nd floor bedroom, which I'd call the Master bedroom, doesn't have a shower, so you need to go downstairs. Excellent communication with owner!

A no-brainer stay
The property and view is even better than in the pictures. The hosts are also incredibly hospitable and made every part of our stay easy and memorable. This stay was far better managed and cared for than any professionally managed property we’ve stayed at. The hosts love their home and it shows. We felt so comfortable and didn’t want to leave. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the kitchen is welll stocked, the heating and fireplace work great, and everything was up to date. Our only two (tiny) flags are that it would be even better if the shrubs out front would be trimmed slightly to obstruct less of the view and I failed to realize that the upstairs bedroom doesn’t have a shower (guests have to go downstairs to shower). Regardless of the those two points we will most definitely book here again and can’t complain. Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. The views are incredible. We had deer come by every morning. Terry is a super host! The special added touches like disposable slippers, make-up wipes, Aveeno lotion, etc. just made it feel like a 5-star hotel. The communication between Terry and Megan was outstanding. The home is comfortable, very clean with nice furnishings and the kitchen is well stocked with every item you would need including a Brita pitcher. My family will definitely be returning to this home in the future if available.

Great location with beautiful views
This property is in an incredible location, and we loved taking in the views every day. The property itself is really nice and well maintained. We had a really peaceful stay without any issues, and the host was very communicative and helpful. One feature that I don't recall seeing in the listing are the heated toilet seat/bidets in the downstairs bathrooms. It was a surprising perk that makes the place feel just that little bit more luxurious.

Anniversary Getaway
We were thrilled with everything this home had to offer. We were welcomed by seashell chocolates on the dining table, which was a nice touch. The views are breathtaking and the property is very private. I was pleasantly surprised when we were greeted by two fawns as we unloaded the car. It is always nice to have a gorgeous place to visit that will accommodate the entire family from our 2 year old daughter to my 84 year old mother and furbaby. We were impressed by the changing table and high chair we gladly used for our toddler. There were also some pet supplies and a dog bed under the stairs. Additionally the home comes with warm robes and slippers, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, makeup wipes and Qtips, boardgames and fans if you get warm or like them to sleep. I know i can pack less in future visits because they have thought if everything! The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, Keurig/Coffee pot, tea kettle, utensils and seasonings, coffee, Kcups, tea. We liked that we could cook our breakfast each morning. There is a great market down the street that also offers delicious BBQ on the weekends. Trinks Cafe is a gem and kid/dog friendly. We ate at Sea Ranch Lodge for our anniversary dinner and took a drive to Point Arena Lighthouse the next day. We tried to use the massage chair and hot tub often. We appreciate the host being so responsive and accomodating a last minute change to our travel dates. Thank you for the memories. We will definitely be BACK!!!

As Great as It Looks!!
Forget any anxiety of wondering if the home will be as good as the photos. It is. Only better because the photos can't describe the sound of the waves and the feeling of flying as you sit, watching sunsets, on the literal edge of America. In addition, the layout affords plenty of privacy, kitchen has everything you need and more, and it is a welcoming home (not a soulless rental). Without hesitation I recommend this place to my friends. What an amazing place!

We were enchanted the moment we walked into the home. The Host made certain that he provided welcoming, thoughtful and accommodating information to insure a great stay. The location is so beautiful and so relaxing. Our only regret was having to leave such a wonderful place. Thank you for letting us share in the experience.

Honeymoon
I booked this amazing home for my daughter and her husband for their honeymoon. They absolutely loved everything about the home - incredible Pacific views, great house design to take in the views, clean, comfortable, quaint town with wonderful restaurants. Can’t say enough about how much they enjoyed their stay. Terry was a fabulous host and made them feel welcome and comfortable. His website had great recommendations for activities and restaurants and he was super responsive to any questions we had. We highly recommend this home! Thank you Terry!!

Beautiful place
This house is in a quaint little town, with beautiful beaches within minutes. Kayaking, hiking and the ocean all around you. A half dozen great restaurants and an awesome grocery store the Surf. Our family had a great time and the views of the ocean from the house, the back yard and the hot tub our incredible. The sunsets were spectacular and the sounds of the waves soothing. We will be back to this house top notch!

Perfect Stay
We had a wonderful time at Terry's home. The home was immaculately clean and has the most breathtaking views of the ocean. The surroundings are peaceful and relaxing, and there is a grocery store just minutes away so that we could use the beautiful kitchen and dining room to make meals. The hot tub was wonderful, overlooking the ocean. Terry was very communicative, helpful, and kind. Our only regret was not having rented this home longer!
