Posted Mar. 29, 2024 on HomeAwayHad the best time away here , wish it was for longer . Fully fenced yard for the dogs and kids to explore in. Right across the road from the river walk and a short drive through the gate to more fishing . Will definitely be back to stay again.

Elliot River Holiday Retreat

There has been a lot of thought given to the provision of fittings and appliances to be used by visitors to enjoy a good relaxing holiday. Katy and John are lovely hosts and made us very welcome. We look forward to returning again soon.

Peace and Quite

A relaxing weekend retreat
Posted Jul. 23, 2023 on HomeAwayIt was a great place for us to have a relaxing family weekend away with our dogs. It was the perfect location to walk along the river or sit around the fire pit and enjoy the nature. Our dogs had a wonderful time running around the fully fenced yard.
The house was clean and comfortable with all the necessities. Katy kindly met us on arrival and was very welcoming and helpful, we look forward to coming back again.

The ultimate getaway to relax and recharge.
Posted Jul. 15, 2023 on HomeAwayBeautifully presented fenced property with an immaculate little house just a short drive from Townsville.
We felt an immediate sense of peace and relaxation the moment we drove through the front gates. Our doggo had the time of her life and didn't want to leave (and neither did we!).
The perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle, all you literally need to pack is your clothes and food!
John and Katy are very welcoming hosts- we will definitely return again and again!

Great country getaway
Posted May 30, 2023 on HomeAwayVery quiet, lovely renovated house, stovetop works really well, bed was comfy, not much water pressure in shower but thatd be due to water saving with no town water for the house, so is understandable. We would definitely love to come back again soon, with our kids and our fishing rods to have a fish in the river.
