Quite simply brilliant!
Publié le 13 nov. 2023 sur HotelsWhat an amazing experience it was staying at The Olde Forge Hotel this past weekend. The hotel offered a superb base for our weekend plans, but it was the staff that really stood out as friendly, welcoming and professional throughout.
First impressions were strong as upon opening the front door to go and check in, we were greeted by a bowl of chocolate limes at reception, confirming (at least to my mind) the quality of the establishment that we were staying in.
The rooms were excellent; spacious, clean and had all of the amenities that you would expect. The private bathroom and shower were brilliant and the heating was delightful throughout our stay.
The purpose of our stay was to facilitate a trip to the Observatory Science Centre (https://www.the-observatory.org/) in nearby Herstmonceux and being only 10 minutes away meant that we got to enjoy a wonderful evening there star gazing knowing that we could stay as late as we wanted thanks to us being given a key to get back into the hotel.
Breakfast the next day was outstanding and after fulfilling the initial obligation of some fruit and yoghurt, a Full English was on the cards and once again exceeded all expectations. Go for the poached egg option; you won't be disappointed!
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would not hesitate to recommend to others nor to return ourselves.

A lovely Place to Stay
Publié le 26 juin 2023 sur HotelsMade to feel very welcome on arrival. We had a lovely room, very comfortable with plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities. Breakfast and our evening meals were excellent 10/10. Our hosts were very friendly, really nice people.
