Avis Grand Melemele with Pool

We did enjoy our stay with some minor improvements needed. Number one impressive kitchen from photos but oven and cooktop were difficult to operate. We never did get either ovens to work. Poorly out fitted no vegetable peeler or box grater. Blender was broken and three chipped wine glasses only. This was rectified within 24 hours. No plastic ware for outdoor pool area. BBQ only had one propane tank with no spare to be found. Given the distance back to Hilo and the fact that ovens didn’t work could have been an issue. No paper products ie serviettes Kleenex available.Or cling film foil wrap either. As well single mini soaps and tiny hotel size bottles of shampoo were only provided. But we enjoyed the beautiful grounds and hope you will outfit the VRBO with some of the missing items.

We enjoyed our stay here with our family! We really appreciated the high chair, pack and play and folding pad being provided; it made it an easy place to stay with young children. Our son loved picking oranges, watching chickens racing through the yard, kicking balls around and dipping his toes in the pool. I personally enjoyed the privacy, ample space both inside and out as well as awesome furniture outside making it easy to use the outdoor space. The communication with the management company leading up to the trip was difficult, they would send information but getting ahold of them or getting clarification was difficult sometimes resulting in useless answers that made it seem like they were unfamiliar with the property and took several days. Once we arrived however it was excellent communication and they were very responsive and respectful when we notified them of a few broken things in the house and they were very prompt at fixing a beeping fire alarm when the battery was dying. They even reached out to us when it looked like the house was open after we left for the day! We would certainly stay again, it was a very relaxing environment. Perfect for a family vacation!

We were a family of 8, ranging in age from 6 months to 69. The house worked perfectly for all of us. We really enjoyed the pool and sitting outside for breakfast each morning. The location served our need perfectly- easy to get to Hilo as well as Lapahoehoe. We would stay again.
