Great location for surfing and beaches
Publié le 22 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayJust what we were looking for to enjoy the North Shore. Very close to some great beaches and walkable to food trucks. We rented bikes and explored the area. Apartment was clean and cool enough with fans (no A/C).

Fabulous little “treehouse” very close to the beach

He organized an early check in to accommodate our early flight arrival, welcomed us and offered some great advice on the local area. Thanks Chris!

Pro: unbelievably close to the beach. Beach equipment is provided.
Con: the property is not well maintained. There is debris everywhere. You have to park on the side of the street next to a trail.
No AC or any sort of air movement, except for a ceiling fan and one fan. It was stifling hot and muggy in the unit.
**The sheets and bedspread had tears in it and had stained (yuk).
HUGE SAFETY ISSUE!! The unit does not have any smoke detectors or C/O detectors (as stated in the listing). This unit sits above a garage, the garage is full of debris. If there were to be a fire, the unit would burn rather quickly (I am a firefighter so I understand the danger this poses).
The toaster had a steel screw not a lever to push it down.
In good conscience, I could never recommend this place for anyone.
Would definitely give it a 0 star if that were an option.

We check with every guest to make sure all is in order and we are happy to help with any issues. Linda did not voice any concerns to us. We are saddened by any guest having a bad experience. That said. The tone and content of her review demands some corrections.
We do not advertise having air conditioning. The second story unit is well placed for cross breezes from the trade winds which blow nearly every day of the year.
There are 4 fans total. Two for the living room. One for the loft and one for the bedroom. The ceiling fan is new.
Our linens are washed in hot water with two rinses and are clean. If there would ever be stains or rips we would hope to be advised to remedy anything unsatisfactory.
The functional toaster with screw was a quick fix until it could be replaced as the previous guest had broken it. Zero safety risk.
The parking is advertised as street parking. Very close and convenient.
Last we checked we have two smoke alarms. If there are ever any safety concerns we for sure want to hear about it in real time.
The “debris” is building materials for a project stacked out in our carport. To suggest that somehow there was an increased fire risk and a danger to your family is a pretty bold statement.
Again. Always happy to address any concerns during your stay. Things break. Get lost. Get removed. Get stolen. Get stained etc. We rely heavily on our guests to make suggestions and inform us of anything out of order.
