Stressful

We did not get to stay in the house I originally rented. Even though I paid in full and got several confirmations from vrbo. The owner said he did not receive notification of my reservation from vrbo so he had to book us in another rental that was too small and didn’t have enough beds. This was a very stressful trip because of our housing situation. I spent most of it sleeping on the floor in not the best accommodations because the original rental that I thought I had until the day of arrival was not available. And my elderly parents had to sleep in bunk beds which was very difficult for them. I will not be using vrbo again after this experience.

Not Fair! Aloha Amy, sorry you feel that way after all we did to support you -- from booking alternate accommodations, to providing a substantial refund -- we even offered a completely complimentary full length stay during the year. Every other guest we ever had, had reached out during or after the booking process and we take great pride in going above and beyond in responsiveness. And since you did try yourself unsuccessful, I am proud of finding last minute accommodation on XMas day for you and your group. If we had had any interactions at all prior to the day of the planned arrival I would concur that the 1-star is deserved, but under the circumstances I'll leave it to the readers of the review to draw their own conclusion.
