Others' feedback on the hotel's cleanliness was a major factor to go with the place for me, which is why I was extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of:
1) one pillow, which had a blood stain the size of a loonie that was visible through the pillow case (I gave it to the housekeeping staff member who happened to be cleaning nearby);
2) mattress cover, which had several stains in the upper-left side;
3) bench in front of the bed, which had dirt;
4) both blinds, which had wine/beverage stains.
I reported the first three aspects to Samm, who had checked in with me via text app. an hour after I got my room but there was neither a reply nor corrective action.
Less seriously, the toilet seat was cracked on the right side and needs to be replaced and the sink's faucet loose and requires tightening.
After my trip, I looked up recent reviews by other travellers, several of whom have also observed similar mess in their respective room.
Based on my 5-night stay, the breakfasts varied daily, which was very good.
