Pleasant Stay By The Lake
Publié le 4 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayDefinitely enjoyed this cozy cottage steps from the lake with large front and back yard. Would strongly recommend. (Only very minor issue was that the property owner went radio silent once our stay began so none of our few questions were answered, but again not that big a deal.) Weather was fantastic and the lake was perfect, but even if it had rained all week, the cottage itself would have been great for the family to just get away from it all.

Very good place to stay
Publié le 3 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property has an excellent location. Easy to go to a variety of interesting towns and do lots of things. View of Lake Erie from the house is beautiful. House is well-equipped and comfortable. Would be happy to go again.

Disappointed

I had reached out with several questions a couple days before check in with no response until a few minutes after our check in time. We were driving 10 hours to get there and not sure if we were going to have access to the property as the host didn’t respond back until just after check in time. Communication was minimal and poor information shared about the area.
Our second main concern was the uncomfortable second bedroom (not in pictures of the cottage). My teenage kids said the twin mattress was a brick. They slept horribly.
The last problem was with cleanliness-the outside garage was full when we arrived, there was only a small garbage container available and no bags. There is junk lining the inside of the fence in the backyard-we didn’t use the backyard area.
There are cute decorations within this small cottage. Better communication from the start would have helped greatly. Overall cleanliness of living space was good-just issues with lack of ways to dispose of garbage (and no recycling surprised us). I felt that communication with the host was very brief and late. I was so anxious that we were not going to have a place to stay because of the delay in communication prior to check in. I appreciated the time near the lake but was disappointed in our stay.

This guest had all communication prior to coming to the lalehouse. Not only as a form of a personal message but an automated message from Vrbo as per guidelines and rules from their site. The guest had all amenities advertised and much much more. Unfortunately, their standards were not met and we had asked them if they needed anything special for their stay, we had notified them of construction and renovation in the back area.
We hope we could make their stay better next time, if theh wish to stay again.

Getaway at the Cottage

There was never a dull moment- from kayaking to enjoying the private beach, the hot tub and bbq :) It really was a great place to stay & I would return! Only downside was the broken picnik table at the beach and the stairs could use some work towards the bottom to get to the beach, and spare keys to get into the bedroom if you have a toddler who likes to lock doors lol. Overall great stay.

Nice clean cottage close to the water
Publié le 9 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayThis cottage is very well maintained and clean. It also has all the amenities you might need from cookware to linens. You should definitely have water shoes for the beach. Also, the listing does not mention having a outside grill available but there is one.
