This cozy and comfortable Hawaiian style redwood home is just a short walk to miles of sandy beach. The house is surrounded by lush, tropical gardens. Two lanais let you enjoy paradise in comfort and privacy. A wonderful place to get away and relax in quiet and comfort.

This charming one bedroom house with its Hawaiian style decor has an open kitchen or if outdoor cooking is preferred, a barbecue is on the lanai.

Activities nearby: Located in Haena on the North Shore, minutes to Ke'e Beach ("end of the road") with a beautiful beach and hiking. Walk to a snorkeling beach, shelling and sunbathing. Golf at the spectacular Princeville courses, shop and dine in Hanalei just 15 minutes away.

We had a very restorative stay at the Hawaiian style bungalow. The location is wonderful as is the neighborhood. We had a fantastic time.

Beautiful property!
The home was so cute and comfortable! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The house is walking distance to some of the best beaches in the world. I would absolutely stay here again. One thing we didn’t realize is that even when booking with VRBO, we still worked with a third party management company. It didn’t hinder our stay at all but I wasn’t expecting another company to reach out to me asking for my payment information, etc. I like the ease of booking through the app and communicating through the app.

Wonderful Cottage
Cozy cottage with several private lanais. Few minutes walk to the beach where we could wander for miles. We had breakfast and dinner on the front lanai most days. We had a great time and look forward to returning!

What a lovely escape!
Stayed here for a week in October. We had an amazing time and loved the home. Perfect location to the beach where we had wonderful weather and a day or two of epic rainfall! The house was great. The only thing that wasn't amazing was the kitchen. It was a bit grimy and could use some updating. But it had everything we needed. The entire house was great and cozy.

Wonderful property in a quiet charming neighborhood.
Very nice place makes you feel like a local. My wife and I really enjoyed staying here. Lots of covered porches and all the amenities one could need. There’s a charcoal BBQ for those who like to stay in and cook. Outdoor shower for after visiting the beach which is only a couple minutes walk to get too. Washer and dryer on site if you need do laundry during your stay. We found the bed to be very comfortable as well.

Perfect Old Style Hawaiian Bungalow
House is typical bungalow, very nice. One main room, bed and bath with 3 lanai spaces so there is lots of air flow and ways to be outside. one lanai is screened with futon if one wanted to sleep there. Kitchen nicely equipped ( no dishwasher but easy to wash dishes) . Gardens are lush and surround house. With lots of vegetation close to house you are protected from street but makes house a bit dark during the day. Highly recommended for a couple.

Great vacation spot for two!
Property location is nice and house has all basic amenities. The area is quiet and near beaches and hiking trails. Hanalei is only about a ten minute drive so easily accessible. We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai, listening to the rain at night and watching the birds in the morning. The property has beach equipment for two people but it is older and should be replaced soon. The house itself can use some maintenance but it was clean, neat and everything functioned. All in all the location was outstanding for a quiet retreat vacation!

Romantic getaway home in quiet Haena!
We loved staying at Hale Pua Kai in Haena! The home and location were beautiful and quiet. The grounds were lovely. We stayed nine nights and enjoyed fixing dinners with fresh fish from the fish market in Hanalei. We appreciated the fully screened features, wood floors, and floor and ceiling fans. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, pots and pans, utensils, etc. The washer and dryer came in handy. Plenty of linens and towels. Nice TV and excellent wifi. There are many places to sit here...inside and out... to enjoy the sounds of the birds in the morning as the sun rose, or to have meals on the patio. A sandy beach is about 200 yards of a walk from the home, and Tunnels Beach (good for snorkeling on calm days) is just a bit to the west. Overall, a fun and romantic getaway home.

Lovely home in great location
We loved our time at Hale Pua Kai. The house is very comfortable and cozy, and surrounded by lovely trees and shrubs that make it feel very private. We ate out on a delughtful covered lanai off the dining room. Best of all, it is a 3-minute walk from a lovely beach. A nice walk of less than a half mile along the beach takes you to gorgeous Tunnels and Haenna beaches. The house is in a quiet residential area (many vacation homes), including families. Out of the hustle and bustle of Hanalei, but only a 10-15 minute drive, and close to many wonderful destinations. Beautiful area. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking with a charcoal grill on the porch (had to buy charcoal), but we like charcoal! We enjoy cooking.
