Great large family gathering

Our kids/teens take over the basement and that leaves calm for conversation and cooking on the main and upper levels. The kitchen is well-stocked although the dishwasher is on its last legs (still worked fine for us). The location was convenient for everything we wanted to do. Thanks for a great stay!

Spacious, comfortable and quiet

Owner was VERY responsive to all of our questions and requests, which was appreciated. The house could use some updates and perhaps a deep clean, so I wouldn't call it a "five-star property", but it was nice overall and met all of our needs; We were pleased with our stay and would definitely stay here again, so that is why it earned a five star overall rating from us.

Poor quality, overpriced property

No shampoo, no wash cloths or hand towels, extremely poor bath towels, no hair blow dryer, no master bedroom closet, no garage parking, no lock on rear deck door, poor lighting throughout, no cable tv, no hot water in 2nd bath, poor quality furnishings.

MTU Reunion
Publié le 5 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property was ideal to accommodate our large group of friends and children for a reunion of MTU classmates. The house is HUGE so no one felt crowed. The basement had lots of fun games to keep our teenage children occupied. Some of the furniture has definitely seen better days, but everything was very clean. It was easy walking distance to both downtown Hancock and Houghton. I would definitely request to stay again if staying in the area with a large group.

Good location to visit the area
Publié le 20 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayOverall the house was decent. Very spacious and sprawling. There was no possible way we would have been able to fit sled trailers there, although told we could, 3 trucks didn’t even fit comfortably. Cleanliness could have been better. Bathrooms were “old dirt” dirty. Kitchen was pretty bad especially the fridge/ freezer. Biggest disappointment was no functioning hot tub. It had been broken over a year but still listed as an amenity.
That said, we would possibly stay again- but not if planning a snowmobile trip, which was our plan until no snow showed up!

Perfect for a large group

Parking made for a lot of shuffling of vehicles, but we knew that going in, so it was workable. The amount of kitchen equipment and tableware was absolutely astounding!!
