Our stay was in three words: stressful, frustrating, and grimy.
The man responsible for check in took us into the apartment, where he turned a valve, and said the “water tank is on”, and gave us a key.
Once he left, the water tank was still not turning on and we noticed several other distressing items in the apartment to note here.
1) The ground had a layer of dirt and sand. Walking with our socks for under 10 minutes turned our socks black. Under the twin beds’ was an empty beer bottle. Cobwebs covered the upper walls. We cleaned the room till midnight washing the floors and making it liveable.
2) The radiation heater did not work. The room was below 17 C all night. When we phoned the man for help; he did not return.
3) The toilet seat was broken.
4) There were no blinds in the kitchen window to cover outside persons’ view into our rooms. Windows did not lock and was a draft all night.
5) The bottom entrance door was constantly held with a block to leave the main entrance open. NO safe in the room.
6) There was one TV in the apartment for show. No power cables and no remote.
When I tried to explain our grievances to the man, including the ironic “cleaning fee” of 146.45 dollars on top of the $459.11/night that we were already paying, the man laughed, and hung up on me.
I feel incredibly disrespected by our communications with the apartment’s management and dismayed at our experiences at this apartment.
