Nice hotel with friendly staff.
Publié le 14 janv. 2014 sur ExpediaWe had a pleasant stay at the International Hotel Harbin. English was a little lacking for an International Hotel but otherwise everything else was fine.

Quiet retreat in a chaotic city
Publié le 29 avr. 2013 sur Expedia
Pour : Quiet; pleasant staff; comfortable bed.
Contre : Room decor could use a sprucing up.
Emplacement : Not in the central tourist area, but convenient to the train station and many bus routes.
I stayed at the Harbin International Hotel for three nights while I was in the city for vacation, and it was a great choice. Though the hotel is a little worn around the edges (fraying carpet in the room, exposed pipes under the bathroom sink), it is comfortable and clean, and offers a wonderfully hot shower! The hotel is not in the touristy Daoli Qu neighborhood, but rather about 10-15 minutes away by bus--I liked being away from the chaos of the tourist zone, though others might not want to be so far away. I had a super-discount rate that didn't include breakfast, but there are plenty of quick dining options in the area--local vendors and KFC, most notably. Also, if you walk left out of the hotel's front door, about 3 minutes down the street there's a Carrefour shopping center, where you can purchase snacks, drinks, and anything you've forgotten. The staff was very pleasant and unobtrusive. I can't comment on their levels of English proficiency because I spoke Chinese with them all the time. Overall, the hotel was a perfect place to stay and retreat from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas.

Not really an International hotel
Publié le 27 janv. 2013 sur HotelsAlthough this is a very nice property (good ambiance, restoration done well), it is definitely geared towards Asian visitors. The bed was a typical hard rock. The staff spoke little to no English (which is fine unless you are expecting an "International" hotel). When we tried to get the front desk to help us with transportation, we were told "NO". Breakfast service is stopped promptly at 9:30 on the weekends and they stop replenishing the food much earlier. All in all, if you speak the language and don't need transportation, this is a nice place for the money.

Olde world majesty has faded...
Publié le 15 janv. 2013 sur ExpediaThank you to the hotel staff who did their best to help with requests.
The hotel has some beautiful art nouveau features from its heyday but it's a faded glory by the time you get to the rooms.
The restaurant food is yummy and fresh international cuisine. Breakfast buffet is generous and very reasonably priced.
There is wifi in the lobby and restaurant and it would be a big bonus to have wifi available in the rooms.
