Great weekend getaway

If you are looking for lots of TVs and modern upgrades you may want to look elsewhere, but the location and property are perfect for getting to all the local attractions. Check-in Check-out was seamless.

Quaibt and Cozy

The house is rustic, lived in and charming. There is plenty of room for the whole family including your pets. The not shiny new and perfect makes you feel like you are visiting your hrandma.perfect

Peaceful charming getaway

Neighboring up to an elementary and middle school, great playgrounds for kiddos. Fenced in backyard for dogs to enjoy.
A few blocks from downtown, grocery, harbor, this was an excellent location for a relaxing time with family. Felt very safe.
Only downfall would be a little musty, had to open windows upon arrival and that took care of it. A few stains on the carpets but nothing egregious. House was STOCKED with pots/pans/towels/truly everything needed.
Would stay again!

Very cozy comfortable and lived in. Did not feel like i had to worry my kids might make a mess. They even had a table and chairs to use in the living room for the kids to craft or play games. We loved it and plan on coming back to this house again. Lots of room inside and out to spread out for our family.

Thank you Nancy for bringing the chairs to our attention. They were not broken as of our last inspection. I have reached out to the cleaner regarding exchanging them, as far as the dishes that was an unfortunate oversight.
We would have valued the opportunity to make things right if we would’ve heard from you during your stay.

Renter Beware
Publié le 22 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis is an older home that has neither been maintained or deep cleaned. We rented for a month but left after a few days. Between tripped gfi and breaker, and lack of cleanliness we were not enjoying the stay. The ceilings, paint, furniture, carpets and appliances need to be replaced. These are long term issues. Unfortunately we did not receive any refund so a very expensive mistake.

Indeed, the home is quite old, as are the majority of houses in Harbor Springs (as it is a historical village). Therein lies the very essence of its charm.
However, we have in fact, updated many aspects of it recently. Including new beds, majority of the hardwood floors have been redone, we are anticipating having the rest of the carpet removed this upcoming spring. Also we have completed a major landscaping renovation surrounding the house and large yard (this has been a favorite among guests).
Regarding the lack of refund, the guest was informed that we would happily address any issues she had pertaining to cleanliness. We have a cleaner on staff that responds in short order. Due to the absence of any communication from them we were not able to accommodate the guest, considering the dates reserved were in the middle of peak summer season, and no notice was given to allow for timely rebooking. Therefor we had to adhere to the cancellation policy that was agreed-upon at the time of booking. Again, we would have really valued the opportunity to make things right; as it’s a pleasure to share such a wonderful family home.

Relaxing enjoyable Property
Publié le 7 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe arrived at our "home" for our 2-week vacation in Harbor Springs. This was the first time renting this location, and we were apprehensive if this location met our previous expectations from other rentals in the area.
Upon entering this property, all apprehensiveness disappeared! The layout and amount of space had a comfortable 'your home' feel. The front porch is delightful. We spent most of our time there either working or entertaining.
The inside is as described by the owner. Downstairs master attached to a bathroom. This is also the downstairs shared bathroom. Upstairs are two rooms with three beds and a bathroom. Plenty of fans are available for the warmer days. The extra room with bunk beds and a pullout couch adds extra charm.
We will be coming to Harbor Springs and this property next year.

Nice home in great location

The bonus room was perfect for the kids, bunk beds, couch that makes into bed and their own TV. They loved having their own place. Would stay again.
