It was a neat place. The Wi-Fi didn't work on my T-Mobile phone and the shower was very small. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay and the prices were very reasonable.

Hi Rita, It was such a pleasure having you stay with us for the eclipse! Thank you for your kind words - we're happy you enjoyed your stay with us. (Unfortunately, T-Mobile and NexTel are the only two mobile providers that do not work in our area - we always know if someone can't connect, they have one of those.)As for the showers, we have replaced some of the showers where possible, but space doesn't allow on a few of them - they remain adequate, just not extra spacious. The staff was friendly and professional. Even though we had a room, the amenities are more like a cabin stay—no glasses or cups for coffee; no shampoo or soap. The bed was comfortable—the front porch swing was a plus. The highway was busy during the day, but, quiet at night. There were restaurants within walking distance. The unit is minutes from Land Between the Lakes. A good choice for a night or two.

We have plastic cups and coffee cups available as well as soap for the bathrooms - they all should've been in your room upon arrival. We will certainly talk with housekeeping to find out why they weren't in there - we are so sorry - thank you for letting us know! (We do not supply personal toiletries, as stated on our web site.) However, we do have a microwave oven, coffee maker & filters and a small refrigerator in each motel room as well for your convenience. We hope you had safe travels home! Really enjoyed my stay. Owners were very friendly. Has a really nice pool area. Bathrooms could use an update. Overall very nice place and has a lot to offer.

We are constantly making upgrades and repairs - these units were built in the 40's & 50's and have much smaller showers than are needed these days. We have replaced the ones we have space to do - some we just can't due to constraints in the layout. (Everything else should work great though - if you found that not to be the case, please let us know and we'll address any issues.)Thanks again for staying with us and we hope to see you again in the future.

The owners are super friendly and welcoming. This is a great, affordable, option if you need a clean, pet-friendly stay near Murray or LBL. The accommodations aren’t anything fancy and have some age on them, but the genuine hospitality of the owners makes up for it. Will definitely be staying again!

Left a day early...........

We actually left a day early..... We had intended to stay until Monday, but decided to leave Sunday morning. I think our biggest issue were the beds.... they were VERY uncomfortable as all of them sagged in the middle, actually not allowing my wife and I to sleep together. You stated that they were queen beds, but they were definitely full size beds..... I've stayed in the Aurora area several times over the years and understand that this area has older units, but the beds we had were acceptable. I did have plenty of parking in front of our room, which was nice!! Your place is close to a couple of boat ramps which is nice as well...

Hello, Your comment was left as "Anonymous", so we don't know when you stayed with us or in what unit, nor do we have any knowledge of someone leaving a night early recently. We can say that we only take reservations online through Hotels.com or Expedia for 2 different type units - Motel Rooms with queen beds or Cottages with 4 double beds, all of which have newer pillowtop mattresses, so we can't figure out which one you were in. It is our desire that our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable unit and that they leave happy and return soon. We are sorry you weren't pleased - if you would like to give us a call, we would be happy to talk with you. We are glad you enjoyed our parking and our great location! The property was very "old school". The rooms were large and clean. The facility was a little run down, but the people were very friendly!

Thank you for the 4 out of 5 RATING! Our place was built in the 1950's, so we ARE old school! We have tried to keep the ambience of that era, but with upgraded amenities. We are constantly making upgrades, but there's always more to do on a property of this size. (You can't beat our rates for what we have to offer - we have the largest cottages in town!) We appreciate your business - thank you for staying with us! And thank you for the "friendly" compliment - it means a lot to both of us! :o)
