Weekend getaway
Publié le 18 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe home was beautifully decorated & very clean. We arrived at 4:00 pm on Friday & unfortunately had to leave for a family emergency at home less than an hour later so never got to explore the town or property.

Amazing getaway

We stayed in the guesthouse above the garage (she has a couple guesthouses on her property) and it was a wonderful retreat from the daily grind. All the amenities you could need for a short stay were there, and some personal touches really elevated the experience. We took advantage of the Adirondack chairs overlooking the river--at night with a bottle of wine, and then again in the morning with coffee from the nearby bakery. There was always a welcoming committee of three super friendly dogs (and even the cat made an appearance!). Walkable distance to a couple smaller restaurants, but a little too far to walk to get into the main area of Harpers Ferry (which is nice because you didn't feel any of the presence of all of the tourists). We ran into the host, and she was so nice and lovely to talk to. We would absolutely be back!

The Perfect Getaway

The property itself is beautiful and so well-kept, and it had a feeling of comfortable luxury. It had everything I needed, including great spots to relax and read, and unwind and appreciate the natural surroundings. Christie is such a gracious host who made me feel so welcome, not only at the property, but in Harpers Ferry as well. Her enthusiasm for the town and her recommendations for what to see and where to eat made my stay even more special. I loved waking up to views of the Potomac River and the gorgeous and fragrant lavender field, and I’m already thinking of when I might be able to plan a future stay.

Exceptional
Publié le 9 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe have rented numerous VRBO properties and this one is truly exceptional. Christie, the host, welcomed us warmly into her guesthouse. It was clean, well stocked, beautifully decorated, full of light, and had gorgeous views of the lavender in full bloom. The location was perfect for a walk into town, a hike, or a meal in Bolivar.

The owners are vwry patient and responsive. The guest suit is very clean and comfortable with alot of natural light. I definitely recommend this property. Also, they dogs that live on the property are great and will greet you outside.
