Girls Harper's ferry weekend

Peaceful and Beautiful
Posted Oct. 26, 2024 on HomeAwayWe had a wonderful relaxing stay at Lake View Retreat. Great place to get away, enjoy a laid-back comfort of a nice home. There was just the two of us, we cooked, enjoyed morning Coffee on the front pouch and the view of the lake. spent some time on the back deck enjoying some wildlife and reading time.
This would be a wonderful place for a large family group to spend sometime together, three floor layout is wonderful for milt-family.

Comfortable retreat

Address needs to be clear.
Posted Apr. 12, 2024 on HomeAwayVRBO needs to correct the notification that is sent out when this property is booked. I planned our entire trip on the address i was guven, we arrived at the owners house! We were actually 20 minutes away up a mountain. The house was great, but definitely not where we thought we were going to be. Eddie was great to work with and according to him this happens alot!

Hi Paula, I'm sorry to hear about this. The email from the payment processor contains our main business address, not the address of the specific property you rent, and there is no changing that. We do take great pains in the pre-arrival communication to make everything clear, including the address of the rental property. You seem to be misremembering our conversation, as this is actually the first time I know of (after thousands of reservations) where someone has made this mistake. Sorry!

Great home, but housekeeping & finishes need attention
Posted Mar. 10, 2024 on HomeAwayVery easy check in process, and property management was accessible during the entire stay via text. House is well-designed and comfortable, but some of the finishes need sprucing up (paint, spackle, etc.). Housekeeping could have done a more thorough job, though we did inform property management during our stay and they were very apologetic & promised to inform housekeeping of our concerns.

Mt. Difiance Cidery in Middleburg. Great ciders. Lovely drive.
Blue Hydrangea in Purceville, nice shop, lots of wonderful new and old.
Walsh family winery. Great for dry wines information about the making of wine.

Great get away
Posted Apr. 13, 2023 on HomeAwayThe property and booking was great. Clean, roomy, comfortable beds and living space, games for the kids and the fire pit was a hit! The only downsides were that we went Mon-Wed and the Mountain Lake Club was closed Mon-Tues which is where you need to go to fish and boat on the lake by the house. There were also leftover liquor bottles in the pantry so if you’re bringing teenagers or others who shouldn’t drink, be aware:) Otherwise, a fantastic place to unplug.
