Publié le 7 août 2022 sur HomeAwayCheck in time is too late and check out time is too early. There are 4 hours gap, which does not seem to be fair for whole day fee. Either reducing the time gap to max 2hrs or refund for the gap fee would be reasonable.

2pm check-in and 10am check-out are both standard times and are well documented in the booking information.
We could allow you earlier check-in if we didn't need to clean and prepare the property for you. I'm sorry you were disappointed by this.
The rates are charged per night, not the day. I'm sorry you hadn't realised this either so feel you deserve a refund.
Hotels or motels can generally offer more flexibility as they have multiple rooms to offer.

THAT WOULD BE NICE - IF ONLY

However, due to a disgraceful lack of communication, [or perhaps by unethical intentional commercial arrangement....??] between this agency and the property manager, which resulted in a double booking, my partner and I were not able to actually experience the then vacant property. We had travelled four hours to then be told that the official booking confirmation we held in our hands was entirely invalid and unacceptable. It was to be a special few days away and we were extremely disappointed and upset to be refused entry to the property. We discovered that the town and regional accommodation was fully booked, so we travelled a further four hours back to home. The full cost of the booking, which we paid in advance, was promptly refunded with no compensation for our being disadvantaged by such poor practice. Then we received this "charming" invitation to supply feedback about our "stay"....a further admin blunder.

I'm sorry you experienced this error via Stayz.
As noted your booking was not properly processed and we had no communication with you prior to your arrival as Stayz did not make us aware that you had made a booking.
I'm sorry if you didn't receive a proper explanation as to what had occurred and hope you get to enjoy a stay in Harrietville soon.

Mt Hotham Weekend
Publié le 19 août 2019 sur HomeAwayThis property was in an excellent location and very comfortable for a couple. Plenty of space, close to the base of the mountain and close to dinner options. The managers were nice enough to advise that our checkout could be delayed without asking.
