Publié le 12 août 2024 sur HomeAwayDavid is a great host and provide me all the required information. Even I messaged him late night for some items which I was not able to find but he responded quickly and helped me out to find those.
I strongly recommend to stay in his accommodation.

Property was better than the ad

The ad doesn’t do the property justice and we loved our stay, very close to snow and yet we had own retreat.

Marmot in May
Publié le 5 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a lovely weekend at Marmot Lodge. The lodge was well equipped and very comfortable, in a beautiful setting. David was easy to communicate with, although he did send out a rather long document and intimidating list of "house rules" prior to the weekend which unfortunately put the group on edge prior to what was a lovely weekend away. All of his requests were reasonable, but the tone was not appreciated. Perhaps a more welcoming tone may be appreciated by future groups?

Thanks for mentioning our conditions and requirements that we send out in our welcome letter. I'm sorry your group found the tone of the letter less than welcoming. I have had a look at it and taken your comments and made it feel a little more welcoming. Thanks.
99% of guests are fantastic, we get a very small number that really do not treat the lodge well and we have to put out requests and requirements in order to cover ourselves when the lodge gets disrespected and on occasion trashed. Your group was awesome, and like most groups, these conditions are really not relevant as you look after the place. Thanks again for mentioning this. We hope all groups are like yours.

Stairs
Publié le 28 août 2022 sur HomeAwayThis house had lots of rooms and plenty of beds. It’s was highly functional and the entertainment area and kitchen were well suited to our group. Lots of pantry space.
Best showers I’ve ever had on a holiday destination.
Drying room worked well and the games room was a nice place for the kids and adults to chill.
The bunk beds were high with no rails so not suitable for our 8 year olds and under. There were lots of stairs but not an issue for our kids who were over 2 years old. The Staircases in the two mezzanine rooms to the single beds were incredibly steep and suited to a teenager at a minimum.
Dave was pleasant and helped out when required.

We had about 18 adults & a few children and the house accommodated everything we needed. Dave was quick to respond to any questions I had and will definitely look to book again in future. A relaxing and comfortable extended family stay.
Publié le 2 juill. 2021 sur HomeAwayA very well equipped, warm and inviting place to stay in the middle of Winter. Easy access to the lovely town and river walks. Comfortable and peaceful rooms with great views of the bush all round. Wifi would be a useful addition, especially to keep up to date with changing Covid rules etc.

Hi Jenny, thanks for your kind words. It was a pleasure having you and your group stay with us.
We would love to offer WiFi, our biggest issue is WiFi speeds. It is very slow here in town however if we can find a better option for faster WiFi we will definitely get it for Marmot Lodge.
