Whats on the internet is not what you see when you get there. Staff was rude towards us, no visitors allowed. our rooms were cleaned at 16:00 noon after i called the supervisor who promised us that first thing Saturday morning they will come and clean. Sunday morning one of the ladys that works there came to us round about 9:30 and said she is here to see is everything moving out( who is everything)?
At 10 she came again while we were busy packing our bags in the car demanding the room key, which got me annoyed and i told her we will bring the key. As we get to reception we got the Supervisor we told him the service was not welcoming guess what he said to us, " you came here with an attitude Friday night" now tell me am i wrong to demand the room i booked for on the internet. I paid for that room not a room next to the kitchen. I will never recommend this place to anybody.........

We are sorry you found our staff rude. On Sunday morning, the lady came to check up on you to simply remind you that check-out time was at 10 am. I am sorry she came off as rude but she was still new. She saw you climbing in the car and assumed you were driving off with the key (we have had this happen before).
We do not allow visitors as we are a quiet, reserved lodge that aims for a peaceful out of city experience. Plus our lodge is very small and cannot accommodate
too many people.
About the room, on our side it showed the Gemsbuck room. We moved you to a different room as a courtesy as you arrived quite late and everyone was very tired.
Our room service is normally limited to our non-self-catering units. We usually only do room-service to self- catering on request.
We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us and will aim to do better

Publié le 30 déc. 2017 sur HotelsWe stayed in the safari tent which was basic as expected but comfortable. Food was good. staff were very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was no credit card facility about which we should have been told at check-n.

Contre : The Manor could do with some maintenance and improvements to bring it up to the 21st century.
Emplacement : Location is fine and the garden is beautiful. The 2 hours horse trail in the nature reserve was brilliant.
Ostrich Manor has colonial charm, a lovely garden with pool and very friendly staff. We stayed three nights and liked the whole experience a lot. The meals an breakfasts were fine as well. So no complaints at all.
