The overall property (dining, coffee shop, grounds, beach, etc.) was nice. The rooms were very disappointing. Smelled of damp/mildew, furniture was stained and dated, chipped paint everywhere, shower had not been cleaned well and needed new grout, carpet was dirty. I could go on, but the gist of it is that the room conditions were not at all what you would expect for a property in this price range. You are paying for the facilities, location on the water, and dining options but if you’re looking to enjoy a nice, upscale room you will not find it here. The view was really lovely though and staff was great but something needs to be done to align room expectations with reality. Might make more sense to stay in the area and experience this location separately for dinner or drinks.

Subpar service level with guest services
Publié le 3 sept. 2024 sur HotelsFor a 5-star award winning hotel, the service-level fell short of of my overall expectations as a first time guest celebrating our anniversary.Guest services forgot to delivery cupcakes, I agreed to pay extra for as a surprise for my husband and daughter. We ran back to room 3x from pool with much anticipation and only offered a simple apology with extended check out? We already had setup noon checkout and guided at 11:30am we could not longer stay. I would have expected some kind of gesture, offering or act of anything to rectify scenario into a positive experience but I feel no effort or attempt was made. Considering the cost of room and access to a cute coffee shop- a simple gesture could have went a long way…..
