Publié le 12 juill. 2022 sur HotelsCette ancienne auberge de la fin du 16ème Siècle possède un charme indéniable mis en valeur par une rénovation de qualité. Mais qui dit 16ème Siècle dit également certaines contraintes comme un plafond bas dans certaines chambres, insonorisation moyenne. L'absence de climatisation entraine également une atmosphère chaude les rares jours de canicule dans cette région.
Le service est de qualité et la restauration correcte.
Pas de parking sur le site de l'auberge mais nous avons reussi à nous garer dans les rues adjacentes.
Bref cet hebergement est fait pour vous si vous recherchez une âme, un caractère authentique quitte à faire quelques petites concessions sur le confort moderne proposé par les groupes hotelliers sans charme.

Stressful stay and no breakfast!
Publié le 11 juill. 2024 sur HotelsI stay away alot for work and this was not a good experience. The staff i met were lovely but its not what i expected. They've done a good job with marketing photos. It was clean except for the leaking toilet and disgusting toilet brush that put me off. Travelling alone so safety paramount but felt anxious. Ate in pub and food and service good. Asked what time i wanted breakfast so said 8.30am but next morning found the door between pub and accommodation locked. Pub all closed up. I wasnt the only resident in same situation. Found man sweeping in yard who told me he didnt really work there and didnt know where the chefs were and advised i complain. So left without breakfast and feeling stressed.

Nice place but wouldn't stay again
Publié le 31 mai 2024 sur HotelsLovely room and staff very friendly and attentive. Nice breakfast included too. Wouldn't stay again as we couldn't sleep until 1am at least each night as we could hear everything from the bar and then guests above us once they moved upstairs.

Staff and locals all very friendly. English breakfast and evening meal we had were excellent.

Publié le 29 avr. 2024 sur HotelsI had an excellent stay at The Horse Inn. The host was very welcoming, and the room was clean and tastefully furnished. My only criticism was that it could have been warmer, and there was no plug to the sink. The breakfasts were superb.

Nice stay but a few problems to be addressed.m

Main complaint is that of poor housekeeping in the room, lack of effective checking that all is as it should be. Our room and bed was not made up on the second day. We mentioned this to the The Horse management and they agreed standard was not right, they offered a complementary bottle of wine. Looks like they outsource room cleaning and they are not up to an acceptable standard. Probably won’t stay there again. Sad, because they are nice people.

The room was clean and comfortable, the pub and village were gorgeous. The room is directly over the bar though and had loud music till well after midnight. I only went to bed then, so it wasn’t an issue for me, but it might be for others.
