Brilliant stay
Posted Jul. 8, 2023 on HomeAwayWe loved The Retreat as it was so peaceful and secluded yet only a two minute walk to the Two Sawyers for a smashing evening meal! The house had everything we needed and was lovely and clean on arrival. Beautiful weather meant we could enjoy the decking, and watch the wildlife and sheep, after visiting many NT properties in the area. Jac and Phil were the perfect hosts and if we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay again.

"The Retreat" is wonderful!
Posted May 16, 2022 on HomeAwayMy wife and I just completed a seven-week stay at The Retreat. Every thing about the stay exceeded our high expectations. Jac and Phil are wonderful, warm, attentive hosts. The property is beautiful and superbly equipped and located. We loved it!

Peaceful Country Retreat
Posted Sep. 21, 2021 on HomeAwayIdeal for a couple like us, situated quietly down a drive off the village road. Clean, comfortable, very well equipped and all on one floor. Jac was very friendly and helpful. Well placed for visiting both a number of National Trust and other properties and gardens, plus towns such as Rye & Hastings. We also enjoyed great weather for September.

Dick Fordham Review of the Retreat
Posted Sep. 14, 2021 on HomeAwayThe property is immaculate and has everything, and I do mean everything, you need to make yourself at home. The setting in Pett Village is idyllic with a 15th Century pub with great food and drinks and a lovely beer garden just across the road. It was quite and peaceful and is rightly named The Retreat. Jac and Phil are great hosts, attentive but not intrusive and it felt like my own home.

Lovely relaxing stay

The Perfect Retreat
Posted Jul. 14, 2021 on HomeAwayThis the best self catering place we have ever stayed in. It is fully equipped and I could happily live here full time. The hosts are friendly and approachable, not that we needed anything during our stay. The Retreat is in a quiet village with a pub at end of the driveway and Hastings with all its attractions is a short drive away. I thoroughly recommend this venue and promise you will not be disappointed.

Warm and cosy

Good Location Clean and Comfy

Although the weather wasn't the best their was plenty to do on the area and for those really rainy days the retreat had a selection of games for us to enjoy. It was lovely and clean and well maintained which made it the perfect base for our family holiday. Thank you
