Great stay for 2

Amazing place and location

The kitchen is equipped with everything you may need to cook. It has paper towels, dish soap and a new sponge. Includes coffee maker and toaster. The freezer has ice. The refrigerator cools very well. The bed is too comfortable. Which was my priority since I suffer from chronic back pain. The balcony on the roof is incredible. If there are no clouds you can see the stars and the Milky Way accompanied by a good wine. The cabin is steps from the beach and has a dune over 30 feet high that protects your car from a high tide. Haterras is super quiet and the beach is beautiful. Its sunsets are magical. This place is perfect for couples. The host is amazing too.Thehostwonderful and easy to access.

Thank you for the great review!! I’m so glad you enjoyed the magic of Hatteras Village. I got a chuckle about the Milky Way with wine. That’s my favorite thing to do on a clear night too.

Wonderful location

Cute place in a great location
Publié le 6 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I searched for several weeks for a place to stay in the Outer Banks. Being the first time we’ve ever been to the Outer Banks, we were not familiar with the different towns there. We stayed during Labor Day which is apparently the end of the season. We knew we wanted to be in a less populated area, so we steered clear of Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills. We had our choices narrowed down to Frisco, Hatteras, and Avon. We ended up selecting this cute little cabana in Hatteras because we knew we wanted to travel down to Ocracoke for at least one day. This location was prefect! The cabana is just as described online. They supply you with a roll of paper towels and toilet paper and a small bottle of dish soap and the bed linens. The bed (and even the pillows) were comfy and neither of us had any complaints anbout our backs which is usually the norm. The air conditioner did an excellent job removing the humidity! Recommendations: we noticed most of the blinds are missing the rod to open and close, so maybe replacing those would be an added benefit to bring more light in. Also, the cleaning company must have forgotten to sweep the floor because I filled up the dustpan with sand as soon as we got there. And the oven was dirty, but I didn’t realize it until I preheated it and filled the unit with smoke. Fortunately, I was able to open the two doors and quickly remove all of the smoke before it set off the detector. Overall, this place is excellent!

Hatteras Stay

Disappointed
Publié le 18 août 2024 sur HomeAwayUnfortunately we had to move locations due to roaches inside and out. Also a futon was falsely advertised and we couldn’t sleep comfortable on the queen bed so we were going to try the coach bed that was advertised and it didn’t exist. Tried to work with the owners and she was responsive but not very understanding. We tried to remove the padding on the bed and were unable to do so because the zipper didn’t work properly. We wasted a lot of money.

I am very sorry you did not have a good experience because vacation is so very important, During our communications you mentioned bugs out on the deck, encasemant not inside so I called an exterminator who sprayed the very next day. The cleaner verified the zippered mattress cover was not broken so you could have removed the extra gel pad on the bed since you did not like the feel of it. Based on our conversation, I believe you were disappointed with the remote location of Hatteras and wished you had stayed up in Nags Head. There was nothing i could do to satisfy you since you only wanted to be in Nags Head. I did partially refund your payment even though our contract was past the point of refund. I mention Hatteras is a remote location, not a busy touristy area in my property description. Again, I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay.
