So bad we left a day early - description is poor

The main issue is that the bed is in a loft space - up a very steep ladder - its claustrophobic and difficult to access if your knees and ankles are not 10 years old. Couple that with it having an unexpected wood fired hot tub - and being left only 3 small composite logs to light it for 3 nights - not enough to get it hot day 1 - and who wants to spend the evening up to your arms in soot trying to light it anyway - say its log fired in the ad / say there is no access to the bed - we would not book then !

Having read your review we have examined the Fern Cottage profile on Hotels.com and have come to the conclusion that the description and photos are a true representation of the property. Photo 27 shows the staircase to the mezzanine bedroom along with a few others and photo 18 clearly shows the chimney from the fire box on the wood fired hot tub. We leave a starter bag of wood and are always contactable 24 hours, 7 days a week should you require anything during your stay with us.
