We mostly enjoyed. We had one trash can in 1/2 bathroom. The floor was gritty with sand. It would have been nice to know the Lake was being drained so owners could make repairs.

Thank you for your thoughts and glad to know you enjoyed your stay! Very sorry to hear the floors were not to your liking. We’ve checked with our housekeepers and they conveyed the floors were swept and mopped before your stay, as they are before all guest check-ins, but perhaps they missed an area. They know to be very diligent with cleaning. You can see by our years of 5 star reviews that cleanliness has not been an issue. Our apologies for any disappointments! With regard to trash cans, the kitchen can is under the cabinet to the right of the sink and the full bath trash can is a tall, skinny wicker basket that is always out on the floor. We aren’t sure how they could have been overlooked, as they have been in those locations for years. When you booked on Sept 7th, lake water was not yet being released for routine maintenance at the dam and we had not yet been notified of the plan to do so. So very sorry if the reduced water level affected your stay. The water level off the end of the dock was still sufficient for fishing. The water level should be back to normal soon. Hoping all of the positive experiences at our property outweighed the concerns you had during your stay! Thank you again for choosing Hideaway at Hawkins.

Perfect getaway

Quiet, secluded, peaceful. We had an amazing time and hope to be back either next year or the year after. 10/10 recommend!

Pure Serenity

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. I had found this cute cabin several years ago but hadn’t had a chance to stay until now. We absolutely loved it and hope to stay again soon. Everything was very clean and well stocked. Thank you for making it such an enjoyable visit!

Anniversary trip from our kids

We had an amazing time, beautiful cabin and property we loved the countertops in the kitchen. Such beautiful details and the private dock on the lake was beautiful. Fantastic weekend Highly recommend

Cabin is exactly as shown in the listing. Owners were very responsive with any questions. Neighborhood is quiet. Comfy bed. Recommend!

Great escape from the busy-ness of life

We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful little cabin located right on Lake Hawkins. The private dock was perfect. We rented a boat and spent three wonderful days on the water. We lucked out and hit the sweet spot with perfect weather (mid 80's) and minimal other boaters since we stayed during the week. The cabin was a perfect size for the two of us and was well cared for. The lake is fairly small and we couldn't explore the north end due to stumps/trunks/branches sticking out of the water. So we kept the boat on the south end and enjoyed the peace and quiet and forgot about metroplex life for a few days. Watching the sun set from the middle of the lake was a treat!
