Publié le 19 août 2024 sur HotelsOur check-in receptionist became quite rude with me after learning that the email was mine but the phone number was my daughter’s . She did the booking as I am technologically challenged. I gave my number, a home landline. Then when it was time to sign, I wanted to use the stylus to keep my fingers free of the obvious germs on it by all the fingerprints. She grabbed it out of my hand, slammed it back into its holder, and harshly said I had to use my finger and hand sanitizers were available. But the hand sanitizers near the desk and by the elevator did not work. For every question I had she replied condescendingly. When another patron walked up, interrupting with a question, the receptionist replied with a sickeningly sweet tone. It was obvious she wanted me to know she was purposely treating me so rudely. Her professionalism was lacking. I was not rude to her. After a very long two day drive from Houston, I was surprised by her attitude to any guest let alone to myself. My daughter, a teacher of many years, couldn’t believe what she’d just seen. Gratefully, the receptionist from the next evening was very pleasant and fully professional to us; she was dealing with an elevator and phone system that quit working. Much better at her post. The breakfast servers did a really good job and were so friendly. We were there for 4 days for our family’s 101st reunion. My husband and I had stayed here in 2020 and I could easily see that things had deteriorated.

Great staff and decent hotel. Use of side doors would be nice.

Decent property. Check in was quick, and the room was comfortable. The room was close to the elevator, so there was occasional noise. But, no enough to cause a problem. The bathtub seemed a bit old. It squeaked quite a bit while showering. Breakfast was a standard chain-property Continental-style. Alright overall.
The location is quiet and a relatively short drive to Northern Indiana. Overall, I would stay there again!

The only thing I had a problem with was the exit driveway has a cement slab divider in the middle which is an odd shape and at night there's no light on it or signage. I hit with my brand new car. No damage, just scuff marks on my tires. I sit up at the perfect height where I couldn't see it below the hood of my suv. So maybe a pole with a sign? Or a light over there? You can see it plain as day in the sun. Otherwise all was great!
