Guests will truly enjoy River Haus - a rustic one bedroom, one bath cabin, while listening to the sounds of the river running from the open deck overhanging the river. A fisherman's paradise - trout fishing right in front of your own cabin - catch your limit on the beautiful clear waters of the fast flowing Chattahoochee River.

The property is close to the Chattahoochee Wildlife Management Preserve. This perfect spot for rest and relaxation is located close to nature and the headwaters of the Upper Chattahoochee River. There is something for everyone in the area- fishing, hiking, river tubing, or horseback riding at Sunburst Stables or just relaxing on the deck. It is located only 1 mile from the vibrant center of Helen, GA. It's the perfect vacation cabin for a couple.

River Haus is lovingly cared for and features a cozy stone fireplace, pine paneling throughout, and a well equipped kitchen with everything you need. It is located just minutes from the shopping and dining of the delightful alpine village of Helen, GA and a short drive to the spectacular Anna Ruby Falls, Dukes Creek Falls, Smithgall Woods Center and Unicoi State Park.

Negative out weighs the positive
On our last stay at this same property, just 7 months earlier, the washer and dryer were accessible, so for this recent 5 day visit we packed accordingly. On arrival the laundry room door was locked and we were told the owners decided not to the allow access to it. Cell service is non existent which is perfectly understandable, but makes reliable WiFi very important. The WiFi was erratic and had no signal 90% of the time at our last visit but we were reassured it had been checked out recently and was working well. If anything, WiFi availability was even worse. As physicians it is important we be available to contact our patients and the hospital, we had to drive into town multiple times and at all hours of the day to communicate with my medical team and patients. Perfect location and a cozy clean cottage and we hoped to plan many trips there but unless these two important issues are addressed we will be unable to rebook.

Anniversary Trip
My girlfriend and I were in Helen to celebrate our anniversary. The cabin was a relaxing location for the two of us. You couldn’t be closer to town, but it’s still quiet at night listening to the river flowing. All around we loved the cabin, location, and decor, and would recommend this location to other couples wanting to enjoy Helen!

Great location
This place is in a great location, and the place it self is nice, but it needs cleaning. Unpleasant smell the moment you open the door, everything has lots of dust. In the bedroom the fan was very dirty, the mirrors had dust, the TV was cover in dust. I started dusting the night table next to my bed because I just couldn’t take it. Same story with the curtains dust, dust. I didn’t want to keep cleaning because I was releasing the dust into the air and I started sneezing so I stop. The bathroom was nice and clean, the bathroom window curtains where transparent, we use the towels to covered. The kitchen stove was clean, so was the sink and fridge, but inside the cabinets was not, they need painting and cleaning. In the living area the same lots of dust. There is a really big spider web in the ceiling, the fan is also dirty. There’s to many old little flowers arrangement full of dust everywhere. Is sad that this place is so abandoned because it has the potential. The outside needs some TLC as well, the rocks needs pressure cleaning because they are getting very slippery. Helen is beautiful and everyone in town is very nice.
