For a relatively new hotel, this property is dirty and worn out. I understand it was built in 2006 and renovated in 2016, but it appears to be time for another renovation. The grout in the bathroom was filthy. It has a shower over a tub, which I guess some people might like, but I would prefer having a shower rather than taking a shower in a bathtub. The bed and carpet look very worn out. The sheets were stained and wrinkled.
Breakfast was included, but it was mostly inedible. They had scrambled eggs that were rubbery and tasteless. I've never experienced eggs that tasted like nothing. The biscuits were over cooked and dry. There were sausage patties that were OK, generic sausage. I didn't dare try the sausage gravy. I did try the pancake machine. You push a button and it makes two pancakes on a conveyor belt inside the machine. They came out very flat, dense, and rubbery. They had fake maple syrup that tasted like sugar water to put on them. I ended up throwing away each thing I tried after taking a taste of each, hoping that the next item would be better. Even the coffee tasted like flavored water. The only thing I could eat was a Chobani yogurt from a refrigerator they had there.
I cannot recommend this property.

Multiple small problems that led to a terrible experience. Reading lights on both queen beds simply did not work. Lots of frayed paint, rough edges. Only two large towels in the bathroom per day (by housekeeping), no laundry bag. Absolutely terrible selection of snacks, breakfast per continental breakfast. Very loud/noisy families staying above - question if those were families actually LIVING in the hotel. Dirty pool, dirty workout facilities. Staff didn't really care what they were doing. Night and day difference between this Holiday Inn Express and the one I stayed at in Zanesville, Ohio. Would not recommend this hotal at all

Room was very clean and comfortable but the outside was overrun with weeds in the garden areas. Front desk would also not let me use an alternative payment method. They claimed that since I booked through Expedia, they had to use the credit card I used to reserve the room.
