Very clean. Room in need of updating. Curtain was hanging off at one end, pictures on the wall were wonky and not central, the decor was old. The wallpaper had been painted over so many times, holes in walls where screws had been. The bathroom very very small, you had to come out of there to dry yourself. Breakfast was lovely but tea/coffee was tepid and not hot. Also had to keep asking for things that hadn’t been put on the table-menu, teaspoons, sugar, salt/pepper. The pub food was average/poor. We’ve stayed here before and our food was beautiful but has gone down hill and our other room We stayed in was better, bigger bathroom. Some of the staff were really lovely, others were not so!! Went into the pub just for a drink and had to wait a long time to be served, then when our drink was bought over the waitress was unfriendly. Unfortunately I’m gutted to say we won’t be staying here again. I’m so disappointed because our previous stay was top notch but not this time. Sorry Mounts Bay.

I'm so sorry about your experience here at the mounts bay, we have recently taken over and are in the process of refurbishing the rooms and and the bar/restaurant area, We are also in changing menu and customer service procedures, however this has been really difficult to implement throughout the summer period. We really appreciate your feedback and don't take it lightly, we already have new curtains ready to hang, we hope you'll please try us again in the future so we can rectify your experience.

xcellent hotel

Excellent stay at this hotel,the owners had only just taken over the hotel however they had kept on all the staff and everything was very efficient. We had a lovely clean and comfortable room and could not fault the hotel.
