Always a lovely local place to stay at in the middle of Helston's town centre. Staff are very helpful and nice.

Excellent Value for Money

Number 52 is a beautiful Georgian Townhouse in the centre of Helston. The room was very clean, well maintained and comfortable with ensuite bathroom. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Although it is next door to the wonderful Blue Anchor Pub, it was not too noisy, however there is some road noise as it is situated on the main street and with a taxi rank outside. We were very impressed and would stay there again. It is very good value for money particularly as there is no extra charge for a dog.

The breakfast was poor. Instant coffee and long life croissant/pastry. All of which you make yourself. No cooked options available. We saw no staff during our stay nor were are rooms serviced, not even the bins emptied. Bed was comfy but room very small and en suite tiny, with noisy plumbing.

The location in town was great, but there was really no parking anywhere near to the property. During my stay I saw the property manager/keeper once at the beginning. I had to go to the pub next door to ask for the keys. They didn’t have them. The lady at the bar was very helpful by trying multiple ways to get a hold of the Bed and Breakfast. The property manager/keeper finally showed up and took me over to get my keys and to check in. That was the last time I saw anyone from this facility.

Great place to stay, it was very easy to feel at home. Very friendly staff as well.

Checkin is remote.. As in there is no one at the property. Would not be a problem normally... however the fire alarm activated at 1.30am. There was no evac plan. No contact details and no way to turn off the alarm. It was through the kindness of strangers and the fire service that the owner was eventually found and someone was sent to deactivate the alarm. Parking is a problem as others have said and noise definatly a issue when next doors pub has live music..and all rooms have thin walls.

Sadly this was obviously a bad experience for youOne of which was out of our control regards the fire alarm activating and the unfortunate part is that the owners who reside next door above the Blue Anchor are away at the moment Otherwise they would of been able to assess the situation within minutes We do not leave contact details in the property as all guests who book through Expedia etc can contact us through email or telephone from their booking or if booked independently are text the details We will address the issue and put contact details in each room for convenience Parking is an issue but we make it plain that there is limited on road parking outside and we do supply parking instructions on arrival Live bands do play some weekends but they should be finished by 11-30pm hence the price we charge for the rooms Also because the property is in the centre of Helston Thank you for your feedback always appreciated and I hope I have cleared up some of the unfortunate issues and we apologise your stay was not what it should of been

Lovely hotel. Parking a bit of a nightmare but don’t let that put you off.
