Didn’t end up staying
Publié le 20 août 2023 sur HomeAwayOutside pictures are not accurate. Does not show that it’s in a RV trailer park with other barns and trailers close by. We didn’t end up staying. We were down for a rustic honeymoon experience but this was a little too much, we wanted a little privacy, and also we didn’t realize there wasn’t a stovetop or hot plate in the kitchen. There were a couple of pots for some reason. The place was relatively clean, outside chairs on porch hadn’t been wiped off in a while. Windows were glued shut, one had a sign saying ‘don’t open, I almost cut my finger off.’

Affordable Cabin Close to Kerr Lake
Publié le 22 juill. 2021 sur HomeAwayThe Pirates' Den cabin was an affordable and cozy place to stay during our weekend trip to Kerr Lake, which is just a 10-minute drive away. Shirley was a great host and very quick to respond when we had questions. My partner and I enjoyed our stay, but we did have a couple complaints: We knew our cabin was on the property of a B&B, but we did not know that it's located in a trailer park. Some of our neighbors were…entertaining while we sat on the porch. There are also a LOT of bugs around, and I had to sweep the dirt and bee carcasses off the porch before we could use it. Most of the time, though, the Pirates' Den was really nice. Just make sure to pack bug spray.

Thanks for your comments. I have taken up the porch condition with the cleaning crew. I am sorry if the other neighboring group was annoying we do have a no noise policy after 11 PM. As for the bugs -- this has been a strange year. It seems the bugs are thick one day, gone the next. But then those bugs do return. Thanks for visiting the Tobacco Farm Camp.
